Mobile Toilet Ecological Public Toilet
Mobile toilet ecological public toilets are a type of public toilet that uses solid-liquid separation technology as a foundation and achieves harmless treatment of excreta through microbial decomposition. Their characteristics can be analyzed from four aspects: technical principles, structural performance, technological applications, and appearance customization:

I. Technical Principles and Environmental Advantages
These toilets use microbial communities as the core processing unit, separating solid and liquid components of excreta through solid-liquid separation technology. The solid portion is decomposed by microbes into carbon dioxide, water, and organic fertilizer, enabling resource utilization; the liquid portion can be treated to meet discharge standards or reused. This process does not require traditional water flushing. Initially, 70-80 kilograms of water are injected to maintain microbial activity, with only minimal water replenishment needed subsequently, significantly reducing water consumption. For example, the carbon-neutral public toilets deployed in Chengdu in 2024 save over 3,000 tons of water annually, demonstrating their water-saving efficiency. Additionally, the microbial decomposition process produces no chemical pollution, and the organic fertilizer can be directly used for agriculture or landscaping, creating an ecological loop.
II. Structural Performance and Durability
The toilet body adopts a steel-frame cement composite structure, combining strength with thermal insulation, and has a service life of over 20 years. Some models are equipped with intelligent temperature control systems that can operate at temperatures exceeding 60°C, providing sterilization and disinfection functions to ensure normal use in low-temperature environments. For instance, the steel-frame structure of Chengdu's carbon-neutral public toilets supports operation at temperatures as low as -28°C, breaking through the geographical limitations of traditional public toilets. In terms of maintenance costs, the annual maintenance fee is only 15,000 yuan, far lower than the long-term operational expenses of traditional public toilets.
III. Technological Applications and Cost-Effectiveness
Modern technologies integrate 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT) to enable remote monitoring and intelligent management, allowing real-time monitoring of microbial activity, equipment status, and environmental parameters, thereby improving operational efficiency. This technology was deployed in 13 venues during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, with the construction cost per toilet seat being 100,000 yuan lower than that of traditional water-flush toilets, highlighting its economic efficiency. Furthermore, microbial decomposition technology reduces sewage discharge and treatment costs, aligning with carbon neutrality goals and offering significant social and environmental benefits.
IV. Appearance Customization and User-Friendly Design
The appearance of these toilets can incorporate natural elements to harmonize with the surrounding environment while supporting customization of internal facilities. For example, a certain 4+1 stepped mobile restroom features four squat toilets and one open washroom. The exterior walls use thermal-insulating and flame-retardant metal carved panels, the side doors are made of titanium-magnesium alloy, the washroom is equipped with a bathroom cabinet, the interior walls use bamboo-wood fiber panels, and it is fitted with exhaust fans, tissue dispensers, and other facilities. The floor uses anti-slip tiles, balancing aesthetics and practicality. Users can adjust the layout, materials, and functional modules according to their needs to meet diverse scenario requirements.
