Size of Double Rooms in Mobile Toilets

Admin October 11, 2026

The common sizes of double rooms in mobile toilets vary depending on the type and design, mainly falling into the following two specifications:

1. Regular Double Occupancy (Double Toilet Stalls)

This design typically includes two separate stalls and a shared sink, with overall dimensions of 2.5 meters in length, 1.5 meters in width, and 2.3 meters in height. Its layout features are as follows:

  • Length: The 2.5-meter length accommodates two standard toilet stalls (each approximately 1.2 meters) and a central aisle, ensuring ease of door opening and movement for users.
  • Width: The 1.5-meter width allows for the horizontal arrangement of two toilet stalls while reserving space for the sink area (typically about 0.5 meters wide), with the remaining space used for passage or equipment installation.
  • Height: The 2.3-meter height meets ergonomic requirements, preventing users from feeling cramped and providing space for ventilation systems and lighting fixtures.
This design is suitable for high-traffic public areas (such as tourist attractions and construction sites), improving space utilization through a shared sink. However, regular cleaning is necessary to avoid hygiene issues caused by cross-use.

2. Compact Double Shared Toilet

Another design measures 1.8 meters in length, 1.1 meters in width, and 2.3 meters in height, capable of accommodating two users simultaneously (e.g., for parent-child or assistance scenarios). Its features are:

  • Length: The 1.8-meter length achieves double occupancy in a limited space by optimizing stall layout (e.g., reducing door space or using folding doors).
  • Width: The 1.1-meter width provides basic space for two users to stand side by side, but note that this design typically lacks an independent sink and relies on external cleaning facilities.
  • Height: Consistent with the regular design, the 2.3-meter height ensures ventilation and equipment installation needs.
This design is suitable for space-constrained scenarios (such as temporary events and remote areas), but requires balancing comfort and space efficiency, for example, by adding handrails and emergency call devices to enhance safety.

Summary: The choice of size for double rooms in mobile toilets should consider the usage scenario, traffic volume, and functional requirements. The regular design (2.5m × 1.5m × 2.3m) is more suitable for high-traffic public areas, while the compact design (1.8m × 1.1m × 2.3m) is ideal for space-limited or special-use scenarios.
