Disassembly Steps for Mobile Toilets
Admin September 21, 2026
The disassembly steps for mobile toilets need to be differentiated based on their types (portable plastic toilets or smart toilets), with specific operations as follows:

I. Disassembly Steps for Portable Plastic Toilets
Preparation Before Disassembly
- Emptying Waste: Check the interior of the toilet and the waste storage tank to ensure there is no residual waste. If the waste storage tank contains deodorizers or coagulants, empty them according to the instructions to prevent liquid leakage during subsequent operations.
- Disinfection Treatment: Spray the inner and outer surfaces of the toilet evenly with a chlorine-containing disinfectant (such as 84 disinfectant) and let it sit for 5 minutes to kill bacteria and reduce the risk of pathogen spread during disassembly. Wear gloves during operation to avoid direct contact with the disinfectant.
Component Separation Steps
- Releasing the Fixing Device: Most plastic toilets are connected to the frame via rotating snap fasteners, which usually have the word 'PUSH' marked on their surfaces. Press the fasteners with both hands and rotate them counterclockwise by half a turn to the unlocking position to separate the toilet body from the frame.
- Disassembling the Hose: The exhaust pipe or splash-proof hose at the back is fixed by a plastic compression ring. Use a flat-head screwdriver to gently pry the edge of the compression ring to separate it from the hose connector, and then pull the hose straight up. Be careful not to apply excessive force to avoid breaking the hose.
- Separating the Seat Cushion Assembly: Flip open the toilet seat and observe the metal shaft structure at the hinge. Use needle-nose pliers to grip both ends of the metal shaft and slowly pull it out, while paying attention to preserving the rubber shock absorber at the hinge (reinstall it if it falls off).
II. Disassembly and Assembly Steps for the Upper Cover of Smart Toilets (Taking a common model as an example)
Disassembling the Upper Cover Assembly
- Removing the Fixing Screws: Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws from the fixing frame of the upper cover's slow-fall mechanism (usually located on both sides at the back of the toilet), and store the screws properly for use during installation.
- Taking Out the Slow-Fall Mechanism: Hold the upper cover's slow-fall mechanism and its fixing frame with both hands, gently lift them up and completely remove them, being careful to avoid bumping the ceramic surface of the toilet.
- Separating the Upper Cover: Lift the toilet shell (for some models, you may need to open the side snap fasteners first), and take out the upper cover assembly from the hinge as a whole, placing it on a soft cloth to prevent scratches.
Installing the Upper Cover Assembly
- Inserting the Hinge: Align the upper cover's hinge with the hinge hole on the back cover and slowly push it in until it fits completely, ensuring that the hinge does not wobble.
- Resetting the Upper Cover: Place the upper cover assembly back on the toilet body and adjust the angle to align it with the seat.
- Fixing the Slow-Fall Mechanism: Reinstall the upper cover's slow-fall mechanism and its fixing frame, and use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the fixing screws to an appropriate torque (avoid over-tightening to prevent plastic cracking). After installation, test whether the upper cover's slow-fall function works normally.
Precautions: Cut off the power supply to the smart toilet before disassembly (if it is an electric model); handle it gently during operation to avoid damaging ceramic or plastic components; if the snap fasteners are too tight, use a plastic pry bar to assist in separation, and do not use metal tools to pry hard.
