Illustrated Steps for Disassembling a Mobile Toilet
Admin October 02, 2026
The disassembly of a mobile toilet seat cover requires selecting the appropriate method based on the fixing structure, which commonly includes traditional bottom-lock type, top quick-release type, and smart toilet seat covers. The specific steps are as follows:

I. General Preparation
- Safety Precautions: Close the water inlet angle valve of the toilet and drain the remaining water from the tank; if it is a smart toilet seat cover, unplug the power cord first.
- Tool Preparation: Rubber gloves, adjustable wrenches or sockets of appropriate sizes, screwdrivers, and plastic bags for storing small parts.
- Structural Inspection: Squat down and observe the back of the toilet. If two protruding plastic caps or metal nuts are visible, it is a traditional bottom-lock type; if there are buttons, gaps, or sliders at the connection between the seat cover and the base, it is a top quick-release type.
II. Disassembly Steps for Traditional Bottom-Lock Type
- Locate the Fixing Nuts:
- Find the two plastic or metal nuts at the lower back of the toilet. If they are covered by dust caps, carefully pry them open with a flat-head screwdriver.
- Loosen the Nuts:
- Hold the screw head of the toilet seat cover fixing base with one hand from above (to prevent rotation), and use a wrench with the other hand to grip the nut and turn it counterclockwise to loosen.
- After both nuts are loosened, they can be unscrewed by hand.
- Remove the Seat Cover:
- After removing all the nuts, lift the entire toilet seat cover (including the seat ring and cover) upwards to separate it from the toilet.
III. Disassembly Steps for Top Quick-Release Type
- Find the Fixing Mechanism:
- The mechanism is usually located above or on the side of the connection between the seat cover and the base, in forms such as pressing buttons, sliding sliders, or hidden catches.
- Remove the Seat Cover:
- Operate the mechanism (such as pressing the button or sliding the slider) and directly lift the seat cover assembly upwards or pull it backwards to remove.
IV. Additional Steps for Smart Toilet Seat Cover (if applicable)
- Remove the Entire Unit:
- Press and hold the release button and lift the entire unit upwards with both hands.
- Remove the Rear Cover Screws:
- Find the eight screws marked on the rear cover and remove them one by one with a screwdriver.
- Disconnect the Wires:
- Gently tap the rear cover with your hand to avoid pulling the wires, and unplug all the wires one by one to complete the disassembly.
Precautions:
- Wear rubber gloves during disassembly to avoid scratches or contact with contaminants.
- Store small parts (such as nuts and screws) in plastic bags to prevent loss.
- If the catches are too tight or the nuts are rusted, spray a small amount of lubricant to assist in the operation.
