Illustrated Instructions for Disassembling Mobile Toilets
Admin October 09, 2026
The disassembly of the toilet seat cover in mobile toilets requires selecting the appropriate method based on the structural type, mainly divided into three types: traditional bottom-lock type, top quick-release type, and smart toilet seat cover. The specific steps are as follows:

I. Disassembly of Traditional Bottom-Lock Type Toilet Seat Cover
- Locate the Fixed Nuts
There are usually two plastic or metal nuts located at the rear and bottom of the toilet, used to secure the toilet seat cover. If the nuts are covered by dust covers, use a flat-head screwdriver to pry open the dust covers and expose the nut positions. - Loosen the Nuts
This operation requires two people to cooperate: The person above uses one hand to press down on the screw head of the toilet seat cover's fixed base (to prevent it from rotating with the nut), while the person below uses an adjustable wrench or socket tool to grip the nut and turn it counterclockwise slowly to loosen it. If the distance between the toilet and the wall is too close, a narrow tool (such as an L-shaped wrench) can be used to assist in the operation. - Remove the Cover Plate
After the nuts are completely removed, simply lift the toilet seat cover (including the seat ring and cover plate) upwards to complete the disassembly.
II. Disassembly of Top Quick-Release Type Toilet Seat Cover
- Find the Quick-Release Mechanism
Observe the top or side of the connection between the toilet seat cover and the base to look for buttons, sliders, or hidden snaps. For some smart toilet seat covers, the quick-release mechanism may be located on the side and requires careful inspection. - Operate the Mechanism
Operate according to the type of mechanism: Press the button, slide the slider, or release the snap. For smart toilet seat covers, press and hold the release button (usually located at the rear of the cover plate) for 2-3 seconds, and wait for the mechanism to unlock before proceeding to the next step. - Separate the Cover Plate
After the mechanism is unlocked, simply lift the entire unit upwards lightly or pull the cover plate assembly backwards. If the cover plate is tightly connected to the base, gently shake the cover plate to assist in separation.
III. Special Disassembly Steps for Smart Toilet Seat Cover
- Remove the Rear Cover
Use a screwdriver to remove the screws marked on the rear cover, and gently tap the edge of the rear cover to loosen it (be careful not to pull off the internal wiring). If the rear cover is tightly fitted to the main body, a plastic prying tool can be used to assist in separation. - Unplug the Wires
Unplug the connecting wires (such as power cords, heating wires, spray rod wires, etc.) one by one. When unplugging the wires, pinch the root of the plug and pull it out slowly to avoid damaging the wires. If there are many wires, take a photo to record the connection positions for subsequent installation.
Precautions
- Safe Operation: Before disassembly, close the water inlet angle valve of the toilet and drain the remaining water in the water tank; for smart toilet seat covers, unplug the power supply to prevent electric shock or water leakage.
- Tool Preparation: Wear rubber gloves for anti-slip purposes, and prepare tools such as adjustable wrenches, sockets, and screwdrivers. For the disassembly of smart toilet seat covers, an additional plastic prying tool is required.
- Structural Adaptation: When actually disassembling, select the corresponding method according to the specific structure of the toilet seat cover. If the snap is damaged or the nut is rusted, it is recommended to contact a professional for handling.
