Admin October 02, 2026

There are two different situations regarding the disappearance of mobile toilets.

Theft Leading to the Disappearance of Mobile Toilets

On the evening of August 29, the reporter, Mr. Jiang, discovered that a mobile toilet placed near the intersection of Tianmen Mountain Road and Longgang Road had been stolen. After investigation, the police found the stolen mobile toilet at the doorstep of the suspect, Mr. Xia, on the afternoon of September 1. During interrogation, it was revealed that Mr. Xia, due to the large number of people in his household and the inconvenience of using the toilet, conspired with two others to commit the theft on the night of the 29th. Such theft of mobile toilets is a criminal act. As public facilities, mobile toilets have clearly defined ownership and usage rights, and theft seriously infringes upon public interests and the rights of others. The police swiftly identified the suspects and recovered the stolen items through investigative techniques, thereby maintaining social order and protecting public property. This also serves as a reminder to the public to abide by laws and regulations and not to engage in illegal activities for personal gain.

Removal Due to Existing Problems

Previously, a mobile public toilet was erected in the alleyway beneath Building 7 in the urban area of Yeyuan. However, this mobile toilet was placed right in the middle of the alley, occupying nearly half of the road surface. This not only caused great inconvenience to residents' travel but also posed sanitation issues that disturbed the residents. For example, the toilet might emit unpleasant odors, affecting the living environment of the surrounding residents; additionally, due to its unreasonable location, it could cause traffic congestion. After media reports, the local street administration responded promptly with rectification measures and removed the toilet. This action reflects the government's emphasis on people's livelihood issues. When the placement of public facilities affects residents' normal lives, timely adjustments and improvements can be made to safeguard residents' legitimate rights and quality of life.
