Dimensions of Mobile Toilets
Admin September 20, 2026
The dimensions of mobile toilets vary depending on their type and usage scenarios. Here are some common specifications:

I. External Dimensions Classified by User Capacity
- Single-Person Standard Type: Length 1.2 - 1.5 meters, width 0.8 - 1.0 meters, height 2.2 - 2.4 meters. These toilets are compact in size, suitable for installation in space-constrained locations such as street corners and park corners, meeting the basic needs of a single user.
- Double-Person Standard Type: Length 1.8 - 2.2 meters, width 1.0 - 1.2 meters, height 2.2 - 2.4 meters. Larger in size than the single-person type, the interior space can accommodate two people simultaneously, making it suitable for areas with slightly higher foot traffic such as scenic spots and factories, and can alleviate toilet pressure during peak hours.
- Barrier-Free Type: Length 2.0 - 2.4 meters, width 1.2 - 1.5 meters, height 2.2 - 2.4 meters. Designed specifically for the disabled, this type is equipped with handrails, low-position washbasins, and other facilities. The interior space is spacious, facilitating wheelchair access and operation, reflecting a human-centered design concept.
- Luxury Type: Length 2.5 - 3.0 meters, width 1.5 - 2.0 meters, height 2.4 - 2.6 meters. This type has the largest dimensions, with exquisite interior decoration, possibly equipped with air conditioning, smart devices, etc. It is suitable for high-end venues or large-scale events, providing a more comfortable toilet experience.
II. Overall External Dimensions of Mobile Public Toilets
- Common Single-Pit Specifications: Length 1.2 - 1.5 meters, width 1.0 - 1.2 meters, height 2.2 - 2.5 meters. Based on a single pit, these specifications are compact in structure, easy to transport and install, and are a common choice for public places.
- Multi-Pit Combination Specifications: A two-pit unit may have a length of up to 2.4 - 3.0 meters and a width of 1.0 - 1.2 meters; larger container-type mobile public toilets can have a length of over 6 meters and a width of over 2.5 meters. Multi-pit combinations can meet the needs of multiple people using the toilet simultaneously, suitable for places with high foot traffic such as stations and squares.
III. Dimensional Requirements for Internal Functional Areas
- Toilet Area: The net width should generally not be less than 0.85 meters, ideally 0.9 - 1.0 meters; the net depth should be between 1.2 - 1.5 meters. This size ensures that users have sufficient activity space and avoids a cramped feeling.
- Barrier-Free Toilet Cubicle: The interior net width should typically be over 1.5 meters, and the net depth over 1.8 meters. Larger space can meet the needs of wheelchair rotation, facilitating independent use by the disabled.
