Mobile Toilet Dimensions

Admin October 22, 2026

The dimensions of mobile toilets vary depending on their type and usage scenarios. Here are the common standard dimensions:

Single-compartment mobile toilets are typically suitable for construction sites, small events, and other scenarios. Their length generally ranges from 1.2 to 1.5 meters, with some saying it ranges from 1.1 to 1.5 meters; the width is usually from 1.0 to 1.2 meters, with some saying it ranges from 1 to 1.2 meters; and the height is generally between 2.2 and 2.5 meters, with some saying it starts at 2.2 meters. This size design can meet basic toilet needs while being easy to move and place.

Double-compartment mobile toilets are more suitable for large events, tourist attractions, and other scenarios that require more toilet facilities. Their length usually ranges from 2.4 to 3.0 meters, the width is from 1.2 to 1.5 meters, and the height is similar to that of single-compartment toilets, ranging from 2.2 to 2.5 meters. The double-compartment design provides more toilet space to meet the needs of more people.

Multi-functional mobile toilets are suitable for high-end events, long-term fixed locations, etc. They are larger in size and more comprehensive in function. The length generally ranges from 3.0 to 4.5 meters, the width is from 2.0 to 2.5 meters, and the height reaches 2.5 to 3.0 meters. This size of mobile toilet not only provides basic toilet facilities but may also include sinks, mirrors, storage cabinets, etc., to meet higher-level usage needs.

In addition, ergonomic factors need to be considered when designing mobile toilets. For example, the width of the toilet compartment should be no less than 0.9 meters to ensure that users have enough space to move around. The height of the sink is recommended to be set between 0.8 and 0.9 meters, which is convenient for users to wash their hands without causing inconvenience. Meanwhile, the new standard GB55031-2022 'General Code for Civil Buildings' has clear requirements for toilet compartment dimensions. For out-swinging compartment toilets, the required size for a sit-down toilet is 0.9 x 1.3 meters, and for a squat toilet, it is 0.9 x 1.2 meters; for in-swinging compartment toilets, the required size for a sit-down toilet is 0.9 x 1.5 meters, and for a squat toilet, it is 0.9 x 1.4 meters, and the standard requires net dimensions. These regulations ensure that the design of mobile toilets conforms to ergonomic principles and meets actual usage needs.
