Depreciation Amount of Mobile Toilets

Admin September 22, 2026

The depreciation period and annual average depreciation of mobile toilets vary depending on their type. Generally, the depreciation period is 8-10 years, with an annual average depreciation range of 1,500-3,500 yuan per year. Some types can be used for a long time or have a longer depreciation period.

I. Depreciation by Material Type Mobile toilets made of different materials have distinct depreciation periods and annual average depreciation due to differences in durability:

  1. Color-coated steel mobile toilets: Expected lifespan of 3-5 years, with an annual average depreciation of 2,000-3,000 yuan per year. The material is susceptible to environmental factors, such as humidity or corrosive environments, which may shorten the lifespan and accelerate depreciation.
  2. Fiberglass-reinforced plastic mobile toilets: Expected lifespan of 4-6 years, with an annual average depreciation of 2,500-3,500 yuan per year. Fiberglass-reinforced plastic has good corrosion resistance, but long-term use may lead to a decrease in structural strength due to aging, requiring regular maintenance to extend the lifespan.
  3. Metal carved panel mobile toilets: Expected lifespan of 8-15 years, with an annual average depreciation of 1,500-2,200 yuan per year. The material combines aesthetics with durability, making it suitable for scenarios with high lifespan requirements, and the depreciation rate is relatively slow.
  4. Steel structure + stone-like paint/imitation stone paint mobile toilets: Lifespan of 15-25 years. The steel structure frame provides high-strength support, and the stone-like paint or imitation stone paint outer layer enhances weather resistance. The depreciation period of such toilets is significantly longer than that of other types.
  5. Container-modified toilets: Can be used for a long time. The container structure itself has high strength and durability. After modification, if properly maintained, the depreciation period can be close to the original lifespan of the container, with extremely low annual average depreciation costs.

II. Depreciation Period Specified by Tax Law If mobile toilets are classified as appliances, tools, or furniture related to production and business activities, tax law stipulates that their depreciation period is generally not less than 3 years. The specific period needs to be determined comprehensively based on factors such as the enterprise's expected consumption method, frequency of use, and maintenance plan. For example, toilets in public places with high-frequency use may have a shorter depreciation period due to faster wear and tear, while temporary facilities with low-frequency use may have a longer depreciation period.
