Mobile Toilet Construction Standards
Admin October 08, 2026
The construction standards for mobile toilets cover various aspects such as height restrictions, internal facility heights, and classifications, as detailed below:

Height Restrictions: Mobile toilets are typically designed to be no more than 4 meters in overall height. This standard is primarily based on considerations of transportation safety and road passage, ensuring that they can smoothly pass through various roads, bridges, and height-restricted areas during transportation, avoiding transportation obstacles or safety incidents caused by excessive height.
Internal Facility Heights:
- Toilet Seat: The standard height ranges from 40 to 45 centimeters. This height design conforms to ergonomic principles, allowing for natural knee bending and effectively reducing abdominal pressure on users, enhancing comfort, especially for those who use it for extended periods or have mobility issues.
- Sink: In barrier-free scenarios, the sink height is generally set between 80 and 85 centimeters. This height facilitates use by wheelchair users or individuals of shorter stature, reflecting the human-centered design philosophy of barrier-free facilities.
- Showerhead: The height ranges from 1.9 to 2.1 meters. This range meets the showering needs of most adults, ensuring full water coverage while avoiding inconvenience due to insufficient height or water wastage due to excessive height.
- Children's Urinal: The recommended height is around 45 centimeters. Designed with children's height characteristics in mind, it facilitates independent use by children and promotes good hygiene habits.
Mobile Toilet Classifications:
- By Structure: Mobile toilets are divided into single-unit and composite-structure types. Single-unit structures are suitable for limited spaces or temporary needs, while composite structures offer more stable support and larger usable space.
- By Mobility Method: They include hoisting/handling mobile toilets and powered/trailer-mounted mobile toilets. The former rely on external equipment for movement and are suitable for short-distance relocation, while the latter have autonomous mobility capabilities and are suitable for long-distance or frequent relocation scenarios.
- By Sewage Treatment Method: They encompass various types such as waterless packaging, conventional water flushing, water-saving flushing, high-pressure soda water flushing, foam sealing, microbial degradation, and vacuum self-priming water flushing (used in high-speed rail). Different types are suitable for different environments, with waterless packaging suitable for water-scarce areas and microbial degradation being more environmentally friendly.
- By Usage Location: They are categorized into economical and practical, urban modern, garden landscape, and star-rated standard types. Differentiated designs are made based on the aesthetic and functional requirements of usage scenarios to meet diverse market demands.
