How to Build a Mobile Toilet
Admin September 24, 2026
There are mainly two ways to build a mobile toilet: factory-prefabricated installation and homemade movable toilet construction.

Factory-Prefabricated Installation
Mobile toilets are usually factory-prefabricated products that can be installed and used on-site. The construction process is as follows:
- Frame Construction: Use steel welding to form a frame structure. The bottom is welded with channel steel or I-beams, and square steel is selected for the columns to ensure the overall structural stability and load-bearing capacity.
- Wall Installation: Install wall materials on the frame. Common materials include color-coated steel sheets, fiberglass-reinforced plastics, and stainless steel. These materials have advantages such as water resistance, corrosion resistance, and easy cleaning, meeting usage requirements in different environments.
- Lifting Design: The frame structure design should meet lifting requirements for convenient transportation and installation. During installation, no civil engineering work is required. Just assemble and fix the columns like building blocks, ensuring tight-fitting buckles, and the installation can be quickly completed, greatly shortening the construction cycle.

Using Water Storage Tanks and Pallets
- Bottom Construction: Fix universal wheels at the four corners of the pallet bottom for easy movement. Place a water storage tank and use an angle grinder to cut the top of the tank to form an open tank.
- Tank Assembly: Stack two open-top water storage tanks and fix them with self-tapping screws to increase the internal space.
- Opening Setting: Cut a rectangular opening as the doorway for easy personnel access.
- Facility Installation: Drill holes in the internal floor to install drainage elbows and water pipes, fix the toilet, and install facilities such as faucets, washbasins, and showerheads to meet basic usage functions.
- Door Making: Make a door using wooden boards and hinges to ensure flexible door opening and closing.
Using Water Storage Buckets
- Bucket Treatment: Use an angle grinder to split a water storage bucket in half. Fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board and use wooden strips and self-tapping screws to fix it on the upper side of the bucket to increase the height.
- Doorway Creation: Cut an opening on the side of the water storage bucket, install sponge strips to form a door frame, and embed plastic soft sheets to form an elevated wall.
- Roof Setting: Place the upper half of the water storage bucket on the top of the wooden strips as the roof and apply waterproof paint to prevent water leakage.
- Door Assembly: Assemble honeycomb wooden boards to make a door. Drill a hole at the bottom of the bucket to install a drainage pipe to form a floor drain. Drill holes on the side to connect interfaces, install a bathroom heater, toilet, water tank, connect the drainage pipe to the sewage bucket, and install the water inlet pipe of the washbasin, etc.
