Mobile Toilet Construction Ground Leveling

Admin October 13, 2026

When constructing a mobile toilet, the ground leveling must meet the requirements of being flat and solid. The specific operations are as follows:

1. Flatness Control
Mobile toilets have strict requirements for ground flatness, with an error tolerance of less than 5 millimeters. If there are height differences on the ground, adjustments should be made through compaction or laying a concrete bedding layer. For locally low-lying areas, methods for dealing with uneven bathroom floors can be referenced. Cement mortar or professional ground leveling materials can be used for filling to ensure that the filled area is flush with the surrounding ground. During operation, construction should be carried out in layers, with each layer not exceeding 20 millimeters in thickness, and a scraper should be used repeatedly to level the surface to avoid hollow spaces or cracking.

2. Ground Reinforcement Treatment
If the original ground is soft soil (such as backfill soil or sandy gravel ground), reinforcement is required to improve its load-bearing capacity. Reinforcement methods include:

  • Compaction Treatment: Use a road roller or a plate vibrator to repeatedly compact the ground to ensure a compaction degree of over 95%.
  • Concrete Bedding Layer: Pour a 100-150 millimeter thick C20 concrete layer on the soft ground, with steel mesh reinforcement inside to enhance its integrity.
  • Gravel Bedding Layer: Lay a 150 millimeter thick graded gravel layer, compacted in layers, as the base layer for the concrete bedding layer.

3. Load-Bearing Capacity Verification
The ground must meet a load-bearing requirement of no less than 2 tons per square meter. This can be verified through a static load test: Place a 2-ton weight (such as a concrete block) at the center of the ground and observe for any settlement or cracking after 24 hours. If the test fails, the ground must be reinforced again until it meets the standard.

4. Moisture-Proof and Drainage Design
After ground leveling, moisture-proof treatment is required, especially for mobile toilets with wooden or metal structures. Waterproof coatings can be applied on the concrete bedding layer, or a moisture-proof membrane can be laid. At the same time, the ground should be designed with a slope of 1%-2% to ensure that rainwater or sewage can naturally flow towards the drainage outlet, preventing water accumulation that could lead to structural corrosion or odor diffusion.

5. Construction Precautions

  • Leveling materials must be mixed in the correct proportions to avoid insufficient strength due to incorrect ratios.
  • After the concrete bedding layer is constructed, it should be cured for more than 7 days, keeping the surface moist during this period.
  • If the mobile toilet needs to be moved, the ground should have detachable structures (such as movable bolts) reserved to avoid repeated damage to the ground.

By following these steps, the ground of the mobile toilet can be ensured to be flat, solid, and meet usage requirements, extending the service life of the facility and enhancing safety.
