Construction of Mobile Toilets for Mobile Panel Houses

Admin October 08, 2026

Mobile toilets (portable restrooms) for mobile panel houses can be constructed by modifying water storage tanks or barrels, with core steps including container modification, structural assembly, and installation of bathroom accessories. The specific plans are as follows:

Plan 1: Combination of Water Storage Tank and Pallet

  1. Mobile Structure Construction Install universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of a plastic pallet to ensure overall flexibility in movement. The pallet, as the foundational load-bearing structure, should be made of corrosion-resistant and high-load-bearing materials (such as engineering plastics or metal frames).

  2. Water Storage Tank Modification The recycled water storage tank should be cut at the top using an angle grinder to form an open tank. After stacking two tanks, secure the outer frame with self-tapping screws to enhance structural stability. When cutting, reserve a doorway position with recommended dimensions of 180 cm in height and 50 cm in width for easy personnel access.

  3. Drainage and Sealing Treatment Drill holes in the floor inside the tank, install drainage elbows and pipes, and connect them to the external sewage system. After securing the toilet, seal the interface with waterproof glue to prevent leakage. The wall pipes should be fixed with clips to avoid shaking.

  4. Bathroom Facility Installation Install faucets, stainless steel basin sinks, and showers to ensure the supply of hot and cold water. The door should be made of wood and hinges, and equipped with a door handle and lock to ensure privacy.

Plan 2: Direct Modification of Water Storage Barrel

  1. Basic Structure Treatment Split the water storage barrel in half and fix universal wheels at the four corners of the wooden board. Increase the height of the barrel (about 200 cm) with wooden strips and self-tapping screws, and cut a doorway on the side with dimensions referring to Plan 1.

  2. Wall and Roof Construction Install sponge strips to form a door frame and embed plastic soft boards to create lightweight walls. The upper half of the water storage barrel serves as the roof, and the wooden strips should be painted with waterproof paint for beautification and to prevent rainwater penetration.

  3. Drainage and Water Inlet System Drill holes at the bottom of the barrel to install drainage pipes to form a floor drain, and drill holes on the side to connect water inlet pipes. Place a plastic barrel on top for water storage and connect it to a bathroom heater and a three-way shower through pipes to achieve shower functionality.

  4. Toilet and Sink Integration Secure the toilet tank, connect it to the sewage barrel, and extend the water pipe to the doorway as the water inlet for the sink. Ensure the slope of the sewage pipe is reasonable to avoid blockage.

Core Materials and Precautions

  • Material List: Water storage containers (tanks/barrels), universal wheels, angle grinders, self-tapping screws, drainage elbows, toilets, faucets, waterproof glue, wooden boards, plastic soft boards.
  • Safety Points: Wear goggles and gloves when cutting; regularly inspect the drainage system; avoid severe bumps during movement.
  • Applicable Scenarios: Plan 1 is suitable for long-term use with a more stable structure; Plan 2 has lower costs and is suitable for temporary or emergency needs.

Both plans achieve mobility through modular design and can adjust dimensions and accessory configurations according to actual needs.
