Construction of Mobile Toilets

Admin September 21, 2026

There are various methods for constructing mobile toilets, including DIY construction, factory-assembled complete installations, and construction classified by different methods.

DIY Construction

  • Using a water storage tank: Split the water storage tank in half and fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board for easy mobility. Increase the height of the tank with wooden strips and self-tapping screws. Cut an opening on the side, install sponge strips to form a door frame, and embed plastic soft boards to create elevated walls. Place the upper half on top of the wooden strips as a roof and apply white waterproof paint to enhance aesthetics. Use foam strips to拼接 (assemble) discarded honeycomb wooden boards to make a simple door. Cut a hole at the bottom of the tank and install a drain pipe to form a floor drain. Drill holes on the side and bottom of the plastic tank to connect direct joints, place them on the roof to form a small water storage device, and connect a water pipe-made bath heater. Install a three-way joint below the water inlet pipe and connect a showerhead. Place a toilet and install a water tank, securing it with glass glue. Connect the drain pipe to a sewage tank. Horizontally connect a water pipe at the three-way joint of the outlet pipe and extend it to the doorway as the water inlet pipe for a sink. Install a hose and drill a hole in the door to install a connector.
  • Using a water storage tank and a pallet: Fix universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of a plastic pallet and place a water storage tank on it. Use an angle grinder to cut along the top marking line to remove one side of the top, forming an open tank body. Invert another open-top water storage tank and stack it on the first tank body, securing the outer frame with self-tapping screws. Cut a rectangular opening in the outer frame of the water storage tank to form a doorway. Cut a hole in the interior floor, insert a elbow from the bottom upwards, cut into a water pipe, and seal it with glue, removing any excess pipe. Align the toilet with the drain and secure it with glue. Fix water pipes on the wall with clips and install a faucet. Secure a pipe cap with screws at the bottom and connect a water pipe, cutting a hole at the bottom as the outlet for the drain pipe. Cut a hole in the pipe cap, apply glass glue, and secure a sink made of a stainless steel basin. Connect a water inlet pipe to the toilet water tank, connect a shower hose, and install a shower bracket and toilet seat. Use a water pipe to make a spray-type showerhead. Fix hinges on the frame of the water storage tank and connect them to a wooden board to form a door, and install a door handle.

Factory-Assembled Complete Installation

No civil engineering is required. The complete unit is installed and can be used immediately upon placement. The components on the ground are assembled like building blocks, fixed with columns and joints, ensuring a tight fit for every clip.

Construction Classified by Different Methods

  • By structural form: They can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets.
  • By mobility method: They can be divided into hoisting and handling mobile toilets, powered and towed mobile toilets.
  • By sewage treatment method: They are divided into water-flush and waterless suction mobile toilets, and circulating water-flush mobile toilets.
