Mobile Toilet Configuration

Admin September 20, 2026

The configuration of mobile toilets can be divided into five categories based on type, usage scenario, and demand differences: structural form, sewage treatment, internal facilities, extended functions, and industry standards. Details are as follows:

I. Structural Form and Mobility

Mobile toilets are classified by structure into monolithic structures (independent units suitable for small-scale scenarios) and composite structures (multi-unit combinations to meet high-traffic demands); by mobility into hoisting/handling types (requiring mechanical assistance for movement) and powered/trailer types (self-powered or towable, offering high flexibility). For example, trailer types are commonly used for temporary events in scenic spots, while hoisting types are often used on construction sites.

II. Sewage Treatment Methods

  1. Flush Type: Uses water tanks or municipal water supply for flushing, requiring配套 (supporting) septic tanks or sewage pipe networks, suitable for scenarios with water sources and sewage disposal conditions.
  2. Waterless Suction Type: Utilizes vacuum pumps or gravity to suction feces into a sewage storage tank for regular removal, suitable for water-scarce areas.
  3. Recirculating Flush Type: Treats sewage through biological degradation or physical filtration to achieve water recycling, offering high environmental protection but at a higher cost.

III. Internal Facility Configuration

  1. Core Sanitary Fixtures:
    • Toilet Systems: Direct-discharge or vacuum toilet collectors (water-saving, with a single flush of 0.5-1 liters), high-end models equipped with ceramic squat/seat toilets and automatic flush sensors.
    • Sinks: Stainless steel or ceramic, with hot and cold water mixing faucets, hot water systems mostly electric water heaters (6-10 liters) or instant water heaters.
    • Urinals: Men's专用 (specialized) or additional sensor-flush urinals in large restrooms.
  2. Auxiliary Functions:
    • Lighting and Ventilation: LED moisture-proof lights (brightness ≥300Lux) and powerful exhaust fans (air exchange rate ≥40m³/h).
    • Flooring and Walls: Non-slip PVC flooring or epoxy flooring, walls made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) or metal panels, with sealed joints to prevent leakage.
    • Temperature Control Systems: Insulation layers and electric heaters/warm air blowers (power 500-1000W) in cold regions.

IV. Extended Configurations (Customizable as Needed)

  1. Accessibility Facilities: Widen doors (≥90cm), accessibility handrails, low-position sinks, and specialized toilets.
  2. Smart Systems: Automatic soap dispensers, hand dryers, smart toilet seats (with heating/flushing functions), some equipped with remote monitoring systems.
  3. Sewage Collection Systems: When sewage disposal is not available, integrated sewage tanks (capacity 500-1000 liters) at the bottom, equipped with liquid level alarms.

V. Industry Standards and Precautions

According to the standard 《CJ/T 132-2018 Integrated Toilets》, the following must be met:

  • Water taps and valves must be water-saving products, with electrical equipment having a waterproof rating of ≥IPX4.
  • The internal clear height must be ≥2.0 meters, and door locks must have anti-reverse locking functions.
  • When purchasing, confirm the sizes of sewage discharge interfaces (DN110), power supplies (220V/380V), and water supply interfaces (DN15/DN20) to ensure they match the on-site pipe networks.

Mobile toilet configurations have evolved from basic functions to offering hotel-level experiences. Users need to make comprehensive choices based on the number of users, frequency of use, and environmental conditions (such as climate and pipe network conditions).
