How Mobile Toilets Collect Waste

Admin September 23, 2026

The collection method of mobile toilets mainly depends on the type of toilet. Here are the common types and their collection methods:

The collection method for flush-type mobile toilets is relatively straightforward. They are equipped with an integrated fecal storage tank at the bottom. After a user uses the toilet, the waste is flushed into this storage tank through a flushing device. This collection method utilizes the force of water to effectively gather waste, reduce odor emissions, and keep the interior of the toilet relatively clean. However, the capacity of the integrated fecal storage tank is limited and requires regular cleaning to ensure the normal use of the toilet.

Packing-type mobile toilets adopt a method of packing and sealing waste. They use specialized collection bags and buckets. When waste enters the toilet, it is automatically or manually packed and sealed in the collection bag and then stored in the collection bucket. The advantage of this collection method is its good sealing performance, which effectively prevents waste leakage and odor diffusion, minimizing the impact on the environment. Moreover, the collection bags and buckets can be easily replaced and transported, facilitating subsequent disposal.

Biodegradable mobile toilets have a relatively unique collection method. They are equipped with a biodegradation device inside the tank. When waste enters the tank, microorganisms within it will initially decompose the waste, converting it into relatively stable substances. This collection method not only reduces the volume of waste and lowers the frequency of cleaning but also reduces environmental pollution to a certain extent. However, the biodegradation process requires a certain amount of time and suitable environmental conditions. If the usage frequency is too high or the environmental conditions are unfavorable, it may affect the degradation effect.

In addition, in the Jiangxi region, there are professional operation and maintenance measures for the waste collection of mobile toilets. Before the mobile toilets overflow, professional operation and maintenance teams will collect the waste using vacuum suction trucks or manual removal methods. Vacuum suction trucks are equipped with sealed waste storage tanks, enabling them to quickly and efficiently extract and store waste from the toilets, ensuring no leakage during transportation and preventing secondary pollution to the environment. For mobile toilets made of color-steel materials, their tops serve as fecal storage tanks with a small door at the back. The fecal tanks are placed inside for collection, and when they are full, manual cleaning is required.
