Usage of Cleansing Mask for Mobile Toilets (Metaphorically for Face Cleansing)
Admin October 06, 2026
The correct way to use a cleansing mask includes the following steps:

Face Cleansing
Use a mild facial cleanser to thoroughly clean your face, removing surface oils, dirt, and makeup residue, creating a clean environment for subsequent mask absorption. It is recommended to choose a facial cleanser with a pH value close to the skin's natural acidity-alkalinity balance to avoid over-cleansing and damaging the skin barrier.Hot Compress (Optional)
Choose whether to apply a hot compress based on your skin type:
- Dry Skin: Use a moisturizing spray to moisten your face and prevent moisture loss.
- Oily Skin: Apply a hot towel to your face for 2-3 minutes to help open pores and promote the penetration of mask ingredients.
- Applying the Mask
- Tool Selection: Use a mask brush or clean fingers to apply the mask evenly. Avoid direct hand contact with the remaining product in the container to reduce contamination risk.
- Application Area: Avoid sensitive areas around the eyes and lips, focusing on covering the T-zone (forehead, nose wings, chin) and other areas with high oil secretion.
- Thickness Control: For clay masks, apply a layer thick enough to cover your skin tone. Areas prone to clogging, such as the nose wings, can be applied slightly thicker. For gel masks, apply evenly across the entire face.
- Duration
- Clay Masks: Leave on for 8-10 minutes. In winter or for sensitive skin, reduce the time to 5-8 minutes.
- Peel-off Masks: Wait until completely dry (about 10-15 minutes) and then quickly peel off in the opposite direction of hair growth to avoid repeated pulling that can damage the skin.
- Gel Masks: Do not exceed 15 minutes.
Note: If you experience a stinging or burning sensation during use, rinse immediately with clean water. This may be a sign of skin barrier damage or an allergic reaction to ingredients.
- Cleaning and Post-care
- Cleaning Method: First, massage with warm water in circular motions to dissolve the mask. Gently wipe away any residue with a damp cotton pad, avoiding vigorous rubbing.
- Pore Contraction: After cleaning, pat your face with cold water or use a toner containing mint or witch hazel to soak a cotton pad and apply it to the T-zone.
- Skincare Steps: Immediately apply toner, essence, and moisturizer to lock in moisture. For dry skin, you can叠加 (this Chinese word means 'add on' or 'layer') a hydrating mask. For sensitive skin, choose repair products containing ceramides or centella asiatica.
Usage Frequency and Skin Type Adjustments
- General Frequency: Use 1-2 times a week, preferably in the evening after cleansing when the skin is metabolically active and has stronger absorption capacity.
- Oily Skin: Can be used twice a week, focusing on thick application in the T-zone.
- Combination Skin: Practice zone-specific care. Treat the T-zone as oily skin and the U-zone as dry skin.
- Dry/Sensitive Skin: Use once a week. Choose clay masks containing gentle ingredients like kaolin or bentonite and avoid peel-off masks.
