How to Install a Mobile Toilet Cabinet
Admin September 28, 2026
The installation of a mobile toilet cabinet requires selecting corresponding steps based on its type (construction site, custom-made, or general-purpose). The core process includes site preparation, foundation treatment, cabinet positioning, pipe connection, and functional testing, as detailed below:

I. Installation Steps for Mobile Toilets on Construction Sites
- Site Survey and Foundation Treatment
- Determine the installation location in advance, ensuring the ground is flat and solid, away from main construction roads and pollution sources. It is recommended to maintain a distance of at least 1.5 meters from the edge of the foundation pit.
- Clear debris from the ground according to the toilet type (single or connected units), and lay a gravel or concrete foundation. The load-bearing requirement for a single toilet is at least 200kg/㎡.
- Cabinet Positioning and Fixing
- Use a forklift or crane to lift the toilet body smoothly to the designated position, keeping it level to avoid tilting. Unified command is required when multiple people are involved.
- If the ground is uneven, use steel plates to level the bottom of the cabinet to ensure even force distribution.
- Drainage and Flushing System Connection
- Connect the sewage pipe to the construction site's drainage system or a temporary collection pit, sealing the interface with sealing tape or cement. It is recommended to install an anti-backflow valve to prevent sewage backflow.
- After connecting the water supply, test the flushing function and check if the drainage pipes are unobstructed, ensuring no blockages or leaks.
- Final Inspection
- Check the firmness of internal facilities (such as sinks and hooks) and the sealing of the external cabinet to prevent rainwater infiltration.
II. Installation Steps for Custom-Made Mobile Toilets
- Site Confirmation and Foundation Construction
- Confirm that the site is flat and solid, with sufficient space for vehicle access and lifting operations. Identify the locations of the septic tank, sewage pipes, clean water supply points, and power access points.
- Construct concrete piers or anti-corrosion load-bearing sleepers according to the toilet's size and weight to ensure ventilation and even force distribution at the bottom of the cabinet.
- Cabinet Lifting and Leveling
- Use a crane to lift the cabinet smoothly above the foundation, and measure the levelness with a spirit level. Use steel plates to level any uneven areas.
- Fixing and Pipe Connection
- Fix the cabinet to the foundation and connect the water pipes, sewage pipes, and power cords. Seal the interfaces properly to prevent water or electricity leaks.
III. Installation Process for General-Purpose Mobile Toilets
- Preparation and Assembly
- Confirm that the installation location is flat and can bear the weight. Check the smoothness of the sewage pipes and select an appropriate model (such as a packing type or microbial degradation type).
- Fix the base in sequence, connect the wall panels and tighten the screws, install the upper slots and top cover, and pay attention to the sealing of the joints between components.
- Detail Handling and Acceptance
- Clean and organize the interior and exterior, check if all bolts and nuts are tightened, and complete daily maintenance measures before putting the toilet into use.
Precautions:
- Before installation, check if the cabinet and accessories are intact. If any damage is found, contact the supplier promptly for replacement.
- The installation team should consist of workers holding relevant mechanical operation certificates and electrician certificates to ensure safe and standardized operation.
- Regularly inspect the equipment's circuits, valves, and flushing system, and report for repair immediately if any faults are found.
