Mobile Toilet Blow-Molding Material

Admin September 22, 2026

High-density polyethylene (PE) is primarily used as the blow-molding material for mobile toilets. The following provides an explanation from three aspects: material properties, process adaptability, and application advantages:

Chemical Stability and Corrosion Resistance of High-Density Polyethylene (PE)
High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is the core material for the blow-molding process of mobile toilets. Its tightly structured molecular chains and high crystallinity endow the material with excellent chemical stability. It exhibits good resistance to most acid, alkali, and salt solutions. For example, in environments with sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid concentrations below 50%, the surface of HDPE does not undergo significant corrosion or swelling. This property enables it to withstand long-term exposure to outdoor environments, resisting erosion from rainwater and chemicals in the soil, making it particularly suitable for manufacturing corrosion-resistant mobile toilets for long-term use. Additionally, HDPE has outstanding weather resistance and is less prone to photodegradation under ultraviolet light, effectively extending the product's service life.

High-Temperature Resistance and Process Adaptability
HDPE can withstand long-term use at temperatures up to 80°C and short-term exposure to temperatures exceeding 100°C, a characteristic that highly matches the temperature requirements of the blow-molding process. During blow-molding, the raw material needs to be heated to 160-230°C to soften, and within this temperature range, HDPE maintains good fluidity, facilitating the formation of a uniform tubular parison through an extruder. When the parison is placed into the mold and compressed air is introduced to make it adhere to the inner wall of the mold, HDPE has an appropriate melt strength, which can avoid uneven wall thickness due to excessive fluidity and prevent rupture due to insufficient melt strength. After cooling and demolding, the crystallinity of HDPE further increases, ensuring that the product has sufficient rigidity and impact resistance to meet the structural strength requirements of mobile toilets.

Comprehensive Performance Advantages
In addition to chemical stability and high-temperature resistance, HDPE also features low density and light weight, facilitating the transportation and installation of mobile toilets. Its smooth surface makes it less prone to dirt adhesion, reducing cleaning and maintenance costs. Moreover, HDPE can be recycled and reprocessed, achieving resource recycling and meeting environmental protection requirements. These properties collectively make high-density polyethylene an ideal material for the blow-molding process of mobile toilets, widely used in scenarios such as public toilets and temporary event venues.
