Mobile Toilet Blocks Fire Exit

Admin October 13, 2026

Blocking fire exits with mobile toilets is a violation of regulations and poses serious safety hazards, and must be stopped and corrected immediately.

Firstly, from a safety perspective, fire exits are crucial pathways for personnel evacuation and fire truck access during emergencies such as fires. Their unobstructed passage is directly related to the safety of people's lives and property. Blocking fire exits with mobile toilets can severely hinder the rapid arrival of fire trucks and the effective implementation of rescue operations, thereby delaying firefighting efforts and exacerbating fire damage.

Secondly, according to relevant regulations, the placement of mobile toilets must be carefully considered to avoid affecting traffic and fire exits. This is to ensure that fire exits remain unobstructed during emergencies, providing necessary conditions for rescue work. If mobile toilets block fire exits, property management or management entities should assume corresponding management responsibilities, arranging for dedicated personnel to conduct regular inspections and immediately stopping and clearing the scene upon discovery to restore the unobstructed passage of fire exits.

Furthermore, from a legal standpoint, Article 28 of the Fire Protection Law of the People's Republic of China explicitly states that no unit or individual shall occupy fire exits. This provision aims to safeguard the dedicated use and unobstructed passage of fire exits, ensuring their rapid deployment during emergencies. For violations of this provision, Article 60 of the Fire Protection Law of the People's Republic of China also stipulates corresponding penalties: units must make corrections and are subject to fines ranging from 5,000 to 50,000 yuan, while individuals may face warnings or fines of up to 500 yuan.

Therefore, the act of blocking fire exits with mobile toilets must be resolutely stopped and corrected. Property management or management entities should strengthen inspections and management to ensure that the placement of mobile toilets complies with regulations; at the same time, relevant departments should also intensify law enforcement efforts and impose severe penalties on violations to maintain the unobstructed passage of fire exits and public safety.
