Mobile Toilet, Bathroom, Restroom
Mobile toilets, bathrooms, and restrooms are movable facilities equipped with toilet and partial shower functions, available in various types and implementation methods.

I. Definition and Composition of Mobile Toilets
Mobile toilets refer to facilities that can be moved as a whole and placed in fixed or temporary locations to provide toilet services to the public or clients. They generally consist of fecal sewage storage tanks (or disposal units), flooring, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. These components together form a complete toilet environment, ensuring that the basic needs of users are met.
II. Classification of Mobile Toilets
- By structural form: They are divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. Single-structure toilets are usually simpler and suitable for small-scale or temporary needs; composite-structure toilets are more complex and may include multiple functional areas, suitable for long-term or large-scale use scenarios.
- By mobility method: They are divided into lifting and handling mobile toilets and powered and towed mobile toilets. Lifting and handling toilets rely on external equipment for movement and are suitable for replacement at fixed locations; powered and towed toilets have autonomous mobility capabilities and can be flexibly adjusted in position.
- By sewage treatment method: They are divided into water-flush and waterless-flush suction, recirculating water-flush, and dry-packing mobile toilets. Water-flush toilets are similar to traditional toilets and require a water connection; waterless-flush suction toilets use vacuum or negative pressure technology to treat feces; recirculating water-flush toilets use filtration and disinfection technology to recycle water resources; dry-packing toilets package feces for disposal and do not require a water source.
III. Extended Functions of Mobile Toilets, Bathrooms, and Restrooms
Some mobile toilets have been improved in design to include shower functions. For example, individuals can use materials such as buckets, water storage tanks, and trays to create homemade movable toilets, some of which are equipped with showerheads to enhance toilet functionality. Additionally, the toilet-plus-shower Apple Cabin model designed by Dezhou Hongtu Metal Products Co., Ltd. features an overall Apple Cabin design with exterior walls made of Great Wall panels and a public handwashing area with separate sections for men and women in the front, achieving an integrated design for toilet and shower functions.
