Self-built Mobile Toilet Base
Admin September 22, 2026
There are mainly two ways to self-build a mobile toilet base: a simple movable base and a modular steel structure base. The specific operations are as follows:

I. Simple Movable Base
Basic Structure You can refer to the design concept of combining a water storage tank with a pallet. The core is to support the toilet body with a pallet and install a moving device at the bottom. Specific operations:
- Pallet Selection: Choose a high-strength pallet (such as a wooden or engineering plastic pallet) to ensure that its load-bearing capacity meets the weight requirements of the toilet.
- Moving Device: Fix universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of the pallet. It is advisable to choose heavy-duty universal wheels with brakes (with a load-bearing capacity of ≥200kg per wheel) to balance mobility and stability during use.
- Stability Enhancement: If you need to improve the anti-rollover ability, you can install angle iron frames (such as L4*L4 angle iron) at the edges of the pallet to form a frame structure. At the same time, enhance the overall rigidity through bolt connections between the angle iron and the pallet.
Anti-slip and Moisture-proof Treatment
- Lay floor adhesive or anti-slip rubber mats on the surface of the pallet to prevent people from slipping and isolate ground moisture, thereby extending the service life of the base.
II. Modular Steel Structure Base
Frame Construction
- Material Selection: Use angle steel (such as L4*L4 specification) to build the frame. Form a rectangular structure through welding or bolt connections, and fill it with intermediate panels (such as wooden or steel panels) to ensure a flat surface.
- Anti-corrosion Treatment: The surface of the steel structure needs to be sprayed with anti-rust paint (such as epoxy zinc-rich primer + polyurethane topcoat) to delay oxidation and corrosion, especially for long-term outdoor use scenarios.
Function Expansion and Mobility
- Ground Adaptability: If the ground of the use site is uneven, you can retain the flexibility of the angle iron frame and achieve level calibration by adjusting the height of the panels or installing adjustable feet.
- Comfort Improvement: Lay floor adhesive or anti-slip floor tiles on the surface of the panels to enhance the user experience.
- Installation of Moving Device: Install universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of the frame. The wheel specifications should be selected according to the total weight of the toilet (for example, when the total weight is ≤500kg, you can choose nylon universal wheels with a diameter of 100mm).
III. Precautions
- Sewage Pipe Connection: If the sewage pipe needs to be relocated, strictly control the relocation distance (generally ≤15cm). When it exceeds this limit, use a special relocator and ensure that the drainage slope is ≥2% (that is, a drop of 2cm per meter) to prevent sewage backflow.
- Material Selection: For long-term outdoor use, it is recommended to choose stainless steel materials (such as 304 stainless steel). For short-term or low-cost scenarios, colored steel can be selected, but the integrity of the coating should be regularly checked to prevent corrosion.
