Mobile Toilet Base Damage Repair

Admin September 21, 2026

The repair of a damaged mobile toilet base should be carried out according to its specific manifestations. Here are common situations and repair methods:

I. Handling Water Seepage Issues

If water seepage occurs at the base, first determine the type and cause of the seepage:

  • Heavy seepage with a strong odor during flushing: This is often caused by aging or improper installation of the sealing ring (flange ring). The base needs to be disassembled, the residue of the old sealing ring cleaned up, and a new sealing ring of the correct specifications (such as rubber material) replaced. Ensure that it is aligned and pressed tightly with the sewage outlet during installation, and then reseal with glue.
  • Continuous slow seepage: This may be due to dripping from the water tank or inlet pipe. Check whether the internal components of the water tank (such as the float ball and inlet valve) are damaged, or whether the connection of the inlet pipe is loose. If it is confirmed that the base sealing has failed, try tightening the fixing screws of the base, or clean the original glass glue and reapply neutral anti-mold glass glue (avoid acidic glue which can corrode the material) at the joint between the base and the ground. Let it stand for more than 24 hours until fully cured.

II. Repairing a Loose or Wobbly Base

A loose base is usually caused by failed fixation or component displacement:

  • Cracking or detachment of the glass glue: Thoroughly clean the old glue residue left on the base and the ground (it can be scraped off with a utility knife), and ensure that the contact surface is dry and free of oil stains. Apply neutral anti-mold glass glue evenly at the joint to form a continuous sealing layer. Press the base tightly and let it stand for curing. Avoid moving or bearing weight during this period.
  • Displacement of the flange ring or loosening of the expansion bolts: If the connection between the base and the ground is loose, disassemble the base to check whether the bottom flange ring is damaged and whether the expansion bolts are rusted or loose. If the flange ring is damaged, replace it with a new one; if the bolts are loose, tighten them or replace them with longer bolts, and then refix the base. Finally, reapply glass glue for sealing.

III. Replacing Damaged Accessories

If the base damage involves plastic parts (such as buckles and bottom supports):

  • Minor fractures: Use 502 glue or AB glue for bonding and reinforcement, but ensure that the bonding surface is clean and dry. Let it stand for more than 12 hours after bonding.
  • Severe damage or missing parts: Contact the manufacturer or supplier to purchase accessories of the same model for replacement. Pay attention to the disassembly sequence (such as removing the screws first and then the buckles) during replacement. Test the stability after installing the new parts to avoid secondary damage.

Precautions: Turn off the water source before operation (if the mobile toilet is equipped with an independent water tank), and wear gloves to prevent scratches. If disassembling the base is involved, it is recommended that two people collaborate to avoid tipping. After repair, test the flushing and sealing performance to ensure there is no leakage or looseness. If the problem is complex or cannot be handled by yourself, it is recommended to contact professional maintenance personnel.
