Mobile Toilet Base Cement Pouring

Admin September 28, 2026

Mobile toilet base cement pouring is suitable for long-term fixed or heavy-duty toilets and requires professional construction cooperation. The specific key points are as follows:

I. Core Steps of Foundation Construction

  1. Excavation of Foundation Pit: Excavate the foundation pit according to the design dimensions of the toilet, with a depth of 50 cm and a width of 60 cm, to ensure the stability of the foundation. If the geological conditions are poor (such as soft soil layers), the foundation pit should be deepened or replaced with better soil.
  2. Laying of Gravel Cushion: Lay a 10 cm thick gravel cushion at the bottom of the pit and compact it with compaction equipment (such as a plate vibrator) to form a uniform supporting layer and reduce the risk of settlement in the later stages.
  3. Concrete Pouring and Reinforcement: After formwork installation, pour C30 concrete and insert a steel reinforcement framework (such as Φ12 deformed steel bars arranged in a cross pattern) to enhance the foundation's crack resistance and load-bearing capacity. The concrete should be vibrated and compacted in layers to avoid honeycombing and pitting.
  4. Connection of Toilet Chassis: After the concrete has set for 3-5 days (with a strength reaching more than 70% of the design value), use chemical bolts or expansion bolts to firmly fix the toilet chassis to the foundation.

II. Pre-construction Preparation and Quality Control

  1. Technical Preparation: The construction team should be familiar with the construction drawings, geological survey reports, and specification requirements, clarifying the foundation dimensions, elevations, and load-bearing capacity (usually requiring ≥200 kPa). Prepare a measurement and layout plan, using a total station for positioning and a level for controlling elevation errors ≤5 mm.
  2. Materials and Equipment: Steel bars should comply with the HRB400 standard, cement should be of P.O42.5 grade, and the mud content in sand and gravel should be ≤3%. Waterproof materials should meet an anti-permeability grade of P6. Construction equipment includes excavators, concrete mixers, vibrating rods, etc., which should be debugged in advance.
  3. Site Preparation: Clear weeds and debris from the construction area, level the site, and set up temporary drainage ditches (with a slope ≥2%) to prevent water accumulation from soaking the foundation pit. The material storage area should be hardened to avoid contamination.

III. Key Considerations

  1. Waterproofing and Anti-seepage: Apply waterproof coatings (such as polyurethane) on the sides of the foundation and lay waterproof membranes at the bottom to prevent groundwater infiltration and concrete carbonization.
  2. Pipeline Embedding: Reserve holes for sewage pipes, cable conduits, etc., according to the design. The pipe openings should be temporarily sealed to prevent concrete blockage.
  3. Curing and Acceptance: After concrete pouring, cover with plastic film for moisture-retaining curing for ≥7 days. Conduct a load-bearing capacity test (such as a stacking test) after the strength meets the standard. Only after passing the test can the toilet body be installed.

IV. Safety and Compliance Requirements Before construction, obtain approvals for road occupation and excavation, and set up fences and warning signs. Operators should wear safety helmets and non-slip shoes, and use safety harnesses for high-altitude work. Construction electricity should comply with the "three-level distribution and two-level protection" standard to avoid electric shock accidents.
