Mobile Toilet Aromatherapy Making Method

Admin October 17, 2026

Mobile toilet aromatherapy can be made using two methods: natural plant wax or base oil. Here are the specific steps:

I. Aromatherapy Making Based on Natural Plant Wax

  1. Material Preparation

    • Base carrier: 50 grams of soy wax or beeswax (soy wax has a low melting point, while beeswax has strong adhesion).
    • Volatile medium: 15 milliliters of lemongrass/tea tree/mint compound essential oil (with strong antibacterial properties, suitable for toilet environments).
    • Slow-release regulator: 5 milliliters of isopropanol or dipropylene glycol (to control the volatilization rate).
    • Container: A 100ml heat-resistant glass jar (with good airtightness).
    • Tools: An electronic scale (with an accuracy of 0.1g), a constant-temperature water bath, a stainless-steel stirring rod, and a vacuum-sealed jar.
  2. Making Steps

    • Formula Selection: Adjust the ratio according to the toilet area. For a 2-3 square meter area, use a volatile formula (25% essential oil + isopropanol); for an area of over 5 square meters, use an adsorptive formula (15% essential oil + plant wax base).
    • Material Mixing:
      • Heat the plant wax in a water bath to 75±2℃ until it is completely melted.
      • Remove from the heat and cool to 55℃ before adding the essential oil to avoid volatilization and loss of effectiveness due to high temperatures.
      • Stir at 300 revolutions per minute for 10 minutes to ensure uniform molecular dispersion.
      • Add the slow-release agent and rapidly cool to 40℃ to prevent uneven crystallization.
    • Device Assembly: Adopt a three-layer structure - lay activated carbon particles at the bottom to adsorb odors; pour the mixed base in the middle layer; and cover the top layer with a microporous ceramic sheet (with a pore size of 0.1-0.5mm) to control the volatilization rate.
  3. Usage and Maintenance

    • Placement Position: Place it 1.2-1.5 meters above the ground (such as on top of a toilet tank), avoiding humid areas and directly below exhaust fans.
    • Replacement Cycle: When the humidity is >65%, replenish 5ml of the base every 14 days; in dry environments, it can last for 30 days. Thoroughly replace it when the fragrance intensity decays to 40%.
    • Cleaning and Maintenance: Wipe the inner wall of the container with absolute ethanol every month to remove oxidation residues; when not in use for a long time, freeze the base (-18℃) for up to 6 months. Never use alkaline cleaning agents.

II. Simple Aromatherapy Making Based on Base Oil

  1. Material Preparation

    • Container: A small glass jar with a lid (with a capacity of 50-100ml).
    • Base oil: Sweet almond oil or jojoba oil (with strong antioxidant properties and not prone to deterioration).
    • Essential oils: Lavender (antibacterial), lemon (refreshing), etc. Mix 8-10 drops of essential oil with 50 milliliters of base oil.
    • Dried flowers: Roses (to mask odors), eucalyptus (to repel mosquitoes), etc. (optional).
  2. Making Steps

    • Wash and dry the glass jar, and pour the base oil to about eight-tenths full.
    • Drop in the essential oils (such as 3 drops of lavender + 5 drops of lemon) and stir evenly.
    • Put in the dried flowers, close the lid tightly, and shake it 2-3 times. Place it in a cool place and let it stand for 24 hours to allow the fragrance to fully blend.
  3. Usage Suggestions

    • Place it in a corner or on a windowsill of the toilet, avoiding direct sunlight.
    • Replenish the essential oils (2-3 drops each time) when the fragrance becomes faint, and replace the dried flowers when they change color.

Comparison of the Two Methods: Plant wax aromatherapy has strong durability (1-3 months) and is suitable for public mobile toilets; base oil aromatherapy is simple to make (can be completed in 10 minutes) and is suitable for small family toilets. Choose according to your needs.
