What is the Area Size of Mobile Toilets

Admin October 11, 2026

The area size of mobile toilets varies depending on their type, function, and usage scenario. Common standards are as follows:

Single-cubicle mobile public toilets: These typically occupy a relatively small area, primarily designed to meet the needs of a single user, with an area ranging from approximately 1.2㎡ to 1.8㎡. This type of mobile toilet has a compact structure and is suitable for places with relatively low foot traffic and limited space, such as small event venues and temporary construction sites.

Multi-cubicle mobile public toilets: Taking double-cubicle toilets as an example, they occupy an area of about 3㎡ to 4㎡. When the number of cubicles increases to three or more, the area needs to be stacked according to the number, with each additional cubicle increasing the usable area by approximately 1.5㎡ to 2㎡. The overall length is mostly between 3m and 6m, and the width is usually 1.5m to 2.5m. Multi-cubicle mobile public toilets can meet the needs of a relatively large number of people using them simultaneously and are commonly found in large events, scenic spots, stations, and other crowded places.

Special-specification mobile toilets: There are some mobile toilets with special specifications, such as an eight-squat-position mobile toilet with an area of 24㎡, which can accommodate more people using it simultaneously and is suitable for ultra-high-traffic scenarios such as large gatherings and concerts. There is also an assembled mobile restroom with dimensions of 2.5 meters × 6.5 meters (an area of 16.25㎡), which has a relatively spacious space and can provide a more comfortable user experience, suitable for places with high requirements for sanitary facilities.

Area requirements for functional partitions: In terms of functional partitions in mobile toilets, there are also corresponding area standards. The internal net dimensions of an accessible cubicle must not be less than 1.8m × 1.4m to ensure that wheelchairs and other assistive devices can enter and exit smoothly and provide convenience for people with disabilities. The area of a baby care room/third restroom is generally not less than 4㎡, equipped with facilities such as baby changing tables and seats to meet the needs of mothers and babies and special groups.
