Anti-corrosion and Insulation Materials for Mobile Toilets

Admin October 11, 2026

The commonly used anti-corrosion and insulation materials for mobile toilets mainly include several categories: main structural materials, wall materials, interior wall materials, and floor materials, as detailed below:

For main structural materials, galvanized steel pipes or light steel structures are typically selected as the supporting frameworks. Galvanized steel pipes have a layer of zinc coated on their surface, which forms a dense oxide film in the air, effectively preventing further contact between oxygen, moisture, and the steel pipe, thus serving an anti-rust function. Light steel structures are characterized by their lightweight and high strength. These two types of materials have good load-bearing performance, ensuring that the mobile toilet remains undeformed after multiple liftings and relocations, providing a stable supporting structure for the entire toilet.

Among wall materials, sandwich panels are commonly used. They consist of two layers of color-coated steel plates or aluminum plates with polystyrene, rock wool, or polyurethane foam sandwiched in between. Polystyrene, rock wool, and polyurethane foam all have excellent thermal insulation properties, effectively reducing heat transfer between the interior and exterior of the toilet and maintaining a relatively stable indoor temperature. At the same time, sandwich panels are lightweight, facilitating easy installation and transportation. Additionally, some choose deep wood-grain metal carved panels, which not only have thermal insulation functions but also possess corrosion-resistant properties, enabling them to adapt to different environmental conditions.

Common interior wall materials include high-density PVC panels or stainless steel plates. High-density PVC panels have a smooth surface, are less prone to dirt accumulation, and can be cleaned easily with just a rinse of water, reducing the residue of dirt and the growth of bacteria. Stainless steel plates also have a smooth surface and strong corrosion resistance, enabling them to withstand the erosion of various chemicals that may be present in the toilet and ensuring the service life of the interior walls.

For floor materials, anti-slip patterned aluminum plates or rubber floors are often used. Anti-slip patterned aluminum plates increase friction through their surface patterns, effectively preventing slips and falls by the elderly and children. Rubber floors are not only anti-slip but also have good resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, making them less likely to be damaged even with frequent cleaning using detergents. Some high-end mobile toilets also have a fiberglass-reinforced plastic anti-corrosion layer installed on the chassis. Fiberglass-reinforced plastic has excellent corrosion resistance, preventing leakage and the escape of odors, and maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the toilet interior.
