Mobile Toilet and Shower Room Design

Admin October 13, 2026

There are mainly two approaches to the design of mobile toilets and shower rooms, as detailed below:

Self-made Using Simple Materials like Buckets

Some people use several buckets to create a mobile toilet. First, a base is constructed by installing universal wheels on a wooden board to provide mobility. Next, the cut buckets are placed on the base and secured with wooden strips to ensure stability. Then, the buckets are cut to create entry and exit points, with the cut edges wrapped and fixed with wooden boards for safety and aesthetics. After that, aluminum-plastic panels are used to extend and heighten the structure before installing a lid for closure and protection. Wooden doors are then crafted to form the main framework. For drainage, a drainpipe is connected and a floor drain is installed to ensure smooth sewage discharge. Water pipe connectors are drilled and installed on the sides and bottom center for water supply connection. A showerhead is made by splicing PVC pipes and connecting them to water pipes and valve switches to enable showering. Finally, a toilet is installed and sealed with silicone to prevent odor emission and sewage leakage. This design is cost-effective and materials are relatively easy to obtain, suitable for scenarios with limited budgets and not particularly high functional requirements, such as some temporary event venues or wilderness camping sites. However, its comfort and durability may be relatively poor, and the manufacturing process requires some hands-on skills and tools.

Customized Professional Mobile Toilets

Customized mobile toilets can adopt a design with one toilet and one shower room, such as a customized 1.6*3 double-unit mobile toilet with a width of 1.6 meters and a length of 3 meters. This customized model is relatively well-equipped, with complete配套设施 (supporting facilities) such as water heaters, exhaust fans, lighting fixtures, and showerheads to meet people's daily bathing and toilet needs. A ceramic sink is also provided outside for handwashing and other operations. Moreover, the overall water supply and drainage as well as wiring are pre-installed in the factory, making installation more convenient and quick, reducing the hassle and time cost of on-site construction. This design is suitable for places with high hygiene requirements and frequent use, such as large construction sites and tourist attractions. However, the customization cost is relatively high, and design and installation need to be carried out according to specific needs and site conditions.
