How to Use Mobile Toilet Air Fresheners

Admin September 24, 2026

The use of mobile toilet air fresheners requires selecting the appropriate operation based on the type, mainly divided into built-in replaceable and external sensor-activated types, with specific steps as follows:

1. Type Identification and Basic Preparation

The mainstream mobile toilet air fresheners on the market fall into two categories:

  1. Built-in Replaceable: Commonly found in high-end products, the air freshener module is integrated inside the device. It requires installing air freshener sheets/capsules through the back cover or hidden slots.
  2. External Sensor-Activated: Usually exist as independent devices, fixed to the edge of the toilet using magnetic or snap-on mechanisms. They release fragrance through atomization or natural volatilization techniques.
Before operation, consult the product manual to confirm the type. Some brands (such as Panasonic and Xiaomi ecosystem products) come with complementary consumables to avoid incompatibility issues.

2. Specific Installation and Activation Steps

  1. Built-in Air Freshener Replacement Process

    • Power Off: First, cut off the power supply to the device to ensure safety.
    • Locate the Air Freshener Compartment: Find the compartment marked with the “fragrance” sign on the side or back of the device. Press the snap to open the compartment cover.
    • Insert Consumables: Insert the corresponding model of air freshener block (e.g., Panasonic models require dedicated air freshener blocks with a validity period of about 30 days, requiring monthly replacement).
    • Close the Compartment: Ensure proper installation and then close the compartment cover. Restore power to activate.
  2. External Air Freshener Activation Methods

    • Add Air Freshener Liquid: For atomizing types, pour dedicated air freshener liquid up to the capacity line (e.g., Xiaomi ecosystem air fresheners).
    • Connect to Control Terminal: Connect to a mobile app via Bluetooth to set the spray frequency (e.g., spray for 3 seconds after each toilet use); some models support gesture sensing, triggering fragrance diffusion with a wave of the hand.
    • Natural Volatilization Type: Simply place solid air freshener sheets without additional operations. The fragrance is naturally released with air circulation.

3. Usage Adjustment and Maintenance Points

  1. Concentration Adjustment: Select the “air freshener function” via the remote control or the device's touch panel. Most models support low, medium, and high settings. For daily use, medium to low concentrations are recommended, switching to high for quick odor removal.
  2. Consumable Replacement Cycle:
    • Solid air freshener sheets: Replace every 1-3 months (shorten the cycle with high usage frequency).
    • Liquid air fresheners: Consume at a rate of about 1ml per day, requiring regular replenishment.
  3. Consumable Selection Recommendations:
    • Prioritize water-soluble formulas to avoid clogging the atomizer.
    • Enclosed spaces (such as mobile toilets) are suitable for light fragrances like tropical fruit or white tea.
    • If the device has a built-in negative ion function, choose alcohol-free air freshener liquids to prevent neutralization of the purification effect.
  4. Storage and Shelf Life: After opening, air fresheners should be stored away from light and moisture. Most products have a shelf life of 6 months and may become ineffective or produce odors after expiration.
