Mobile Toilet

Admin October 02, 2026

A mobile toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and placed in fixed or temporary locations to provide public toilet services.

Suitable Locations

Mobile toilets are suitable for a variety of locations, such as stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential communities, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. These places often require mobile toilets to meet people's toilet needs due to factors such as high foot traffic, high costs of building fixed toilets, or space limitations.

Composition and Structure

They are generally composed of fecal sewage storage tanks (or fecal sewage treatment devices), floor slabs, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. These components work together to create a complete toilet environment, ensuring that users can use them comfortably and hygienically.

Development History and Classification

Initially made from materials like wood, they had simple structures and functions and were prone to absorbing odors. Later, they gradually evolved to use materials such as fiberglass and polyethylene. According to their structural forms, they can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. Based on their mobility methods, they can be classified as hoisting and handling mobile toilets, powered and towed mobile toilets. According to sewage treatment methods, they can be categorized as water-flushing and waterless-flushing suction mobile toilets, circulating water-flushing mobile toilets, and dry-packing mobile toilets.

Advantages and Design Principles

They have advantages such as mobility, modularity, and ease of transportation. They can be conveniently transported to any location where toilets are needed and can be used repeatedly. Their design should follow the principles of easy mobility, economic durability, environmental protection, ecological friendliness, improved efficiency, and promoting humanity. The overall structure should be lightweight, using lightweight and durable materials as much as possible. The structure should be sturdy, and the height and width of the toilet should be carefully considered during design. The mobile device should be fully considered and reasonably designed.

Other Forms

In addition to common mobile toilets, some people create mobile restrooms using several buckets, and there are also ultra-mini mobile public toilets built with building blocks. Although these forms are relatively simple, they also reflect the flexibility and innovation of mobile toilets.
