Mobile Toilet Charges 10 Yuan

Admin September 27, 2026

Details of mobile toilet charges and related incidents are as follows:

In Fuzhou, Fujian, there is a situation where an operator has set up a mobile toilet and charges for its use. Initially, the charge was 6 yuan per use, but due to a high number of users and increased cleaning pressure, the price was raised to 10 yuan per use. This mobile toilet is configured within a container and includes a toilet, a shower, and a vending machine. It is placed in an area near the seaside where there are no other public toilets, meeting the toilet needs of people in that specific area to a certain extent.

Regarding the charging method and usage rules, after users scan the code to use the toilet, the mini-program page will display that 10 yuan has been paid and a countdown will begin. However, the operator explains that the countdown only indicates that no one else can scan the code to enter during that period, and there is no actual limit on the toilet usage time. The door lock will not open automatically after the countdown ends, and users can unlock it from inside with a key. This charging and usage rule setting takes into account both the operational costs and cleaning maintenance needs, while also ensuring users' privacy and experience to a certain extent.

However, this charging behavior has sparked controversy. After the incident was exposed, the operator adjusted the price to 2 yuan per use, but the controversy did not subside, and ultimately, the operator suspended the use of the mobile toilet. From this incident, it can be seen that the issue of mobile toilet charges is relatively complex. On one hand, it is reasonable for the operator to set up a mobile toilet and charge for its use, considering the costs of equipment purchase, maintenance, and cleaning. On the other hand, whether the charging standard is reasonable, complies with relevant regulations, and fully considers public acceptance and other factors all require further discussion and regulation.
