Mobile Squat Toilet
A mobile squat toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and provides public toilet services. It is a type of mobile toilet.

I. Basic Components
A mobile squat toilet generally consists of a fecal sewage storage tank (or disposal device), floor slabs, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. These components work together to ensure the basic functionality of the toilet. For example, the fecal sewage storage tank is used to collect and store excreta, the sanitary ware provides direct tools for using the toilet, and the walls and roof form an enclosed space to protect the privacy and safety of users.
II. Classification Methods
- By structural form: It can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. The single-structure type is relatively simple and highly independent; the composite-structure type may be composed of multiple parts and has more complex functions.
- By mobility method: It includes lifting and handling-type mobile toilets and powered and trailer-type mobile toilets. The lifting and handling type relies on external equipment for movement, while the powered and trailer type has its own mobility capabilities, such as being towed by a vehicle.
- By sewage treatment method: There are water-flush and non-water-flush suction-type mobile toilets, circulating water-flush mobile toilets, and dry-packing mobile toilets. The water-flush type uses water flow for cleaning, the non-water-flush suction type uses suction equipment to treat excreta, the circulating water-flush type recycles water, and the dry-packing type packs excreta for disposal.
III. Common Models
For example, the classic four-squat-position toilet model has two squat positions for men and two for women, with a brown color scheme. It has exterior wall panels and hollow-out designs on the front, a public washing area in the middle, and the interior of the toilet is renovated like a home to improve user comfort. There is also a three-squat-position mobile toilet with a galvanized steel frame structure and an apple-pod shape. It has well-made signboards on the outside and rainproof designs in the middle to adapt to different environmental requirements.
IV. Advantages and Suitable Places
Mobile squat toilets have the advantages of being movable, combinable, and easy to transport. They are suitable for stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential areas, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. They can quickly meet the temporary or fixed toilet needs of these places.
