Mobile Smart Toilet Setup
Admin October 05, 2026
The setup of mobile smart toilets requires comprehensive consideration from three aspects: internal configuration, flexible location adjustment, and scientific layout with humanized design. The specific key points are as follows:

Internal Configuration
- Core Toilet Facilities: Equipped with water-saving squat toilets or sit toilets, hand basins, odor-proof floor drains, and other sanitary fixtures. The sanitary ware should have water-saving, odor-proof, and easy-to-clean properties. Auxiliary accessories include toilet paper holders, waste paper containers, clothes hooks with a load-bearing capacity of ≥5kg, barrier-free handrails, mirrors, and ashtrays. The lighting and ventilation systems should be equipped with energy-saving lights and forced exhaust devices (with an air exchange frequency of ≥5 times per hour), and some are equipped with fresh air deodorization systems.
- Intelligent Configuration: Utilize infrared induction flushing, automatic lighting, and other induction control technologies. The toilet door displays occupied/unoccupied status. High-end products are equipped with intelligent displays that can count the number of users in real-time, prompt water conservation, and have emergency call devices. Some independent toilets can operate continuously for more than 4 hours without an external power supply through solar power systems and batteries.
- Auxiliary Functional Areas: The management room should have an area of ≥4㎡, and the tool room should be about 1-2㎡. The third toilet should be equipped with a wheelchair turning space (with a diameter of ≥1.5 meters), adult and child toilets, safety seats, etc., to meet the needs of special groups.
- Expandable Configuration: Water-flushing systems should be equipped with clean water tanks, sewage tanks, or septic tanks, supporting recirculating water flushing or high-pressure air-water flushing. Waterless flushing systems include water-free packaging types (automatic replacement of biodegradable plastic bags) and microbial degradation types (zero emissions). All systems should be equipped with liquid level monitoring devices, exhaust pipes, and fecal extraction ports.
Flexible Location Adjustment
- Mobile Devices and Chassis Design: The wheeled chassis adopts heavy-duty universal wheels or directional wheels (with a wheel diameter of 200-400mm), with a single-wheel load-bearing capacity of 300-500 kilograms. Some are equipped with towing hooks. Most products have reserved forklift slots or lifting rings, supporting forklift or crane handling.
- Quick Connection and Fixing Systems: The sewage/water supply systems use standardized quick-connect fittings. The self-contained toilet has a sewage collection tank with a capacity of 200-400 liters. It is leveled through adjustable anchor bolts (with a adjustment range of 50-100mm) and fixed outdoors using expansion bolts or spiral ground anchors (with a length of 300-600mm).
- Operating Procedures: Before moving, obstacles should be cleared to ensure a ground bearing capacity of ≥5 tons per square meter. The manual pushing speed should be ≤5km/h, and the forklift lifting speed should be ≤0.3m/s. After fixing, check the tightness and conduct a water test.
Scientific Layout and Humanized Design
- Precise Selection: Prefabricated toilets are suitable for construction sites, trailer-mounted toilets are recommended for music festivals, and hooks and storage shelves should be added in tourist attractions. For small events, 2-3 single toilets should be configured, and for large-scale events, combined toilet groups should be planned according to the scale of ten thousand people.
- Spatial Layout: It is recommended that the ratio of male to female toilet stalls be 2:3 (1:2 in commercial areas), with barrier-free toilets accounting for ≥5% and independent nursing rooms. For large-scale events, a “three-point” layout (entrance, core area, exit) should be adopted, with at least one toilet stall per 100 square meters.
- Humanized Details: Use anti-slip floors, L-shaped handrails, and foldable baby seats. The exhaust system should have an air exchange volume of ≥15 times per hour and use antibacterial building materials. Promote intelligent technologies such as QR code door opening and air quality monitoring, and set up green plant walls or artistic decorations to enhance the experience.
