Mobile Smart Toilet Construction Method
Admin October 13, 2026
Currently, there is no publicly available complete self-made plan for mobile smart toilets, but they can be achieved by combining basic mobile toilet structures with smart modules. Below are the construction methods for basic mobile toilets and ideas for upgrading smart functions:

I. Construction Methods for Basic Mobile Toilets (Two Cases)
Case 1: Water Storage Barrel Modification Plan
- Main Structure: Split a water storage barrel in half with an angle grinder and fix universal wheels at the bottom of a wooden board to achieve mobility. Reinforce the upper side of the barrel with wooden strips and self-tapping screws, and cut an opening on the side and install a sponge strip to form a door frame.
- Walls and Roof: Insert plastic soft boards as walls and use the upper half of the water storage barrel as the roof. Drill a hole at the bottom to install a drain pipe to form a floor drain, and drill a hole on the side to connect to a direct joint.
- Functional Modules: Place a plastic bucket on the top for water storage, connect water pipes to make a simple bath heater and showerhead. Install a toilet and fix the water tank, and connect the drain pipe to a sewage bucket. Connect the three-way outlet pipe horizontally to the door as the water inlet pipe for the sink.
Case 2: Water Storage Tank and Pallet Combination Plan
- Mobile Chassis: Fix universal wheels at the bottom of a plastic pallet and place a recycled water storage tank as the basic structure.
- Tank Modification: Use an angle grinder to cut an opening at the top of the water storage tank, stack two tanks and fix them with self-tapping screws, and cut a rectangular opening with a height of 180 cm and a width of 50 cm.
- Internal Installation: Drill a hole in the ground to install an elbow and a water pipe, seal the gaps, place the toilet and fix it with glue. Fix the water pipe on the wall with clips, install a faucet, and make a sink with a stainless-steel basin below.
- Water Circuit Connection: Connect the water inlet pipe of the toilet tank and the shower hose, install a showerhead-style shower. Make a door with a wooden board and hinges and install a door handle.
II. Ideas for Upgrading Smart Functions (Additional Modules Need to be Purchased)
- Automatic Flushing System: Install an infrared sensor or a pressure sensor in the toilet tank, connect it to a micro water pump and a battery pack to achieve sensor-based flushing.
- Environmental Control: Add a temperature and humidity sensor and an exhaust fan, and control ventilation through a single-chip microcomputer. Install LED light strips with human body induction switches to achieve automatic lighting.
- Power Supply Plan: Use solar panels or large-capacity lithium batteries to supply power to sensors, water pumps, and other equipment. A voltage regulation module needs to be configured to ensure stability.
Precautions:
- The basic structure must ensure tightness to avoid sewage leakage.
- Smart modules should be low-power models to extend battery life.
- Self-made equipment may lack safety certifications and is recommended for temporary or non-public scenarios only.
