Mobile Shower and Toilet Construction

Admin October 10, 2026

Refer to the following creative plan for constructing a mobile shower and toilet:

Basic Structure Construction: Select two water storage barrels or tanks with open tops as the main framework, forming a closed space through stacking. Use self-tapping screws to secure the outer frame, ensuring structural stability. The material of the storage tanks should be waterproof and corrosion-resistant, such as high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or stainless steel, to withstand humid environments. If more space is needed, larger capacity storage tanks can be chosen or additional horizontal splicing structures can be added, but attention should be paid to the impact of the overall weight on mobility.

Mobility Implementation: Install heavy-duty casters with brakes at the four corners of the bottom of the storage tanks to ensure flexibility during movement and stability when fixed. If heavy equipment (such as water tanks or toilets) needs to be carried, the number of wheels can be increased or larger diameter wheels can be selected to distribute pressure. The connection between the wheels and the tank should be reinforced to prevent loosening after long-term use.

Sanitary Facility Configuration:

  • Toilet: Create a drainage opening on the internal floor of the storage tank, connect a 90-degree elbow and PVC pipes to form a drainage channel. Install a simple toilet (such as a portable toilet or a fixed ceramic toilet) and seal the interface with waterproof glue to prevent leakage.
  • Sink: Choose a stainless steel basin as the sink and connect it to the drainage system through pipe caps and pipes. The basin should be slightly elevated above the floor to prevent water accumulation and have a reserved hole for installing a faucet.
  • Shower: Branch off from the water inlet pipe of the toilet tank, connect a hose and a showerhead. If the water level in the tank is insufficient, a small booster pump can be installed to ensure water pressure. The shower bracket should be fixed inside the tank to prevent shaking.

Door and Opening Design: Fix hinges on one side of the storage tank frame and install a lightweight wooden board as the door, with waterproof adhesive tape applied to the door seam. Cut a rectangular opening as the entrance, with a size convenient for personnel to enter and exit (it is recommended that the width be ≥60cm), and the edges should be polished smooth to prevent scratches. A simple latch or padlock can be used as the door lock to ensure privacy.

Optimization Suggestions:

  • Hot Water Supply: A small electric water heater or solar collector panel (with a配套 storage tank) can be installed, but attention should be paid to the waterproofing of the electrical circuit and the installation space of the solar system.
  • Waterproofing Treatment: Apply waterproof coating to the internal walls and floor, and seal the joints with glass glue to prevent water leakage after long-term use.
  • Ventilation Design: Open ventilation holes on the top or side and install insect screens to maintain air circulation and reduce odors.

This plan requires adjustments to details according to actual needs, such as space size and equipment selection. It is recommended to draw a simple diagram and test the compatibility of various components before construction.
