Mobile Restroom Mobile Toilet

Admin September 21, 2026

Mobile restrooms (mobile toilets) mainly have the following types and implementation methods:

I. Rental Service Type
Some companies specialize in providing rental services for high-end and low-end mobile restrooms, such as Shanghai Xinzhang Environmental Protection Equipment Engineering Co., Ltd. These services are typically aimed at temporary events, construction sites, or public places. The lessee can choose different grades of mobile restrooms according to their needs to meet short-term or long-term usage requirements. The advantage of rental services is that there is no need to purchase and maintain the equipment by oneself, reducing usage costs and management difficulties.

II. Finished Product Production Type
Some enterprises directly produce finished mobile toilets, such as those produced by Dezhou Hongtu Metal Products Co., Ltd. Their design features include an overall ridged structure, 4 independent compartments (not separated by gender), brick-patterned metal carved exterior walls with thermal insulation properties, and an aluminum alloy main body. These products usually adopt a modular design, facilitating transportation and installation, and are suitable for places that need to be fixed but also movable, such as scenic spots, parks, or temporary construction areas. Their advantages lie in their sturdy structure, attractive appearance, and basic sanitary facilities.

III. Homemade Simple Type
A simple movable restroom can be made using a water storage tank and a pallet, with the following specific steps:

  1. Basic Structure: Fix universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of the pallet for easy movement; place a water storage tank recovered from a garbage station as the main structure.
  2. Tank Treatment: Use an angle grinder to cut the water storage tank along the top marking line to form an open tank; invert another top-open water storage tank and stack it on the first tank, securing the outer frame with self-tapping screws.
  3. Function Installation: Cut a rectangular opening as the doorway; drill a hole in the internal floor, insert an elbow, and connect a water pipe, then install and secure a toilet; secure the water pipe on the wall with clips and install a faucet; make a handwashing basin with a stainless steel basin and secure it.
  4. Detail Refinement: Connect the water inlet pipe of the toilet tank and the shower hose, install a toilet seat and a spray-type showerhead; make a door with wooden boards and hinges and install a door handle.

This type of homemade mobile restroom has relatively low costs but requires certain hands-on skills and tools, making it suitable for temporary use by individuals or small teams. Its advantage lies in its high flexibility, allowing functional adjustments according to needs, but attention should be paid to hygiene and safety issues.
