Mobile Public Toilet

Admin October 08, 2026

A mobile public toilet, also known as a mobile toilet, is a facility that can be moved as a whole and provides toilet services to the public.

Suitable Venues: Mobile toilets are suitable for a variety of venues, including stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential communities, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. These venues usually have a high demand for temporary or fixed toilet facilities due to the large flow of people, and mobile toilets can flexibly meet these needs.

Composition and Structure: Mobile toilets are generally composed of fecal sewage storage tanks (or fecal sewage treatment devices), floor slabs, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. These components work together to ensure the normal operation and user comfort of mobile toilets.

Material Development: The materials used in mobile toilets have evolved from wood to fiberglass, polyethylene, and other materials. Initially, mobile toilets were made of wood, with simple structures and functions, and were prone to absorbing odors. Later, they gradually developed to use more durable and environmentally friendly materials, improving the service life and sanitary conditions of mobile toilets.

Classification and Characteristics: Mobile toilets can be classified into single-unit and composite structures based on their structural form; into hoisting, handling, powered, and towed types based on their mobility; and into water-flushing and non-water-flushing suction types, circulating water-flushing types, and dry-packing types based on their sewage treatment methods. The circulating water-flushing type is equipped with intermittent aerobic and anaerobic fecal sewage treatment devices, and the treated water can be recycled for flushing; the dry-packing type has no water-flushing device, and the excreta is received by biodegradable plastic bags, which are automatically changed and collected for centralized treatment after use. Mobile toilets have the advantages of being movable, combinable, and easy to transport. They can be conveniently transported to any place where toilets need to be installed and can be used repeatedly.

Design Principles: The design of mobile toilets should follow the principles of mobility and convenience, economic durability; environmental protection and ecological friendliness, beneficial to the environment; improving efficiency and promoting humanity. The overall structure should consider being lightweight, using lightweight and durable materials as much as possible; the structure should be sturdy; the height and width of the toilet should also be considered during design; and the mobile device should be fully considered for completeness and rationality.
