Admin October 05, 2026

There are mainly several mobile public toilet software options, including Toilet Buddy App, National Public Toilet Cloud Platform, and Didi Lashi.

Toilet Buddy App: Exclusively available for iPhone, this is a free lifestyle app with an age rating of 4+. Developed by Toilet Buddy Limited, it is in English and has a size of 59.5 MB. Its mission is to provide users with a comprehensive and easy-to-use platform to search for public toilets open to the public in Hong Kong, including accessible toilets and baby care rooms. It also offers channels for users to express their opinions and share their usage experiences. The app covers information on over 8,000 toilets and baby care rooms across Hong Kong and supports Traditional Chinese and English. It boasts a rich set of features, allowing users to search for information on all public toilets and baby care rooms, preview facilities, and receive navigation services. With advanced search functions, users can filter options based on location, type, facilities, and venue type. The sorting function enables users to display a list of toilets that meet their needs based on distance, overall rating, cleanliness, and equipment completeness. The app provides toilet rating and review functions, allowing users to submit ratings and opinions and browse ratings and comments from other users. It also features a favorite toilet collection function for quick access to frequently used toilets and the ability to share toilet locations.

National Public Toilet Cloud Platform: Developed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Qingdao Zhuoer Software Development Co., Ltd., it was launched for trial operation on World Toilet Day, November 19, 2017, as a public welfare platform. It aggregates information on nearly 330,000 public toilets across the country. Users can search for toilets and navigate, check public toilet information, provide feedback and evaluations, and seek assistance in emergencies through the "Haofangbian App" or the "Haozhuoji" WeChat mini-program. As of July 2025, over 100,000 users have used the platform, completing more than 500,000 toilet search services, with stable system operation.

Didi Lashi: The concept was first proposed by Yang Zhenkai in an online article on March 12, 2015, aiming to address the shortage of public toilet resources. As of December 2025, the software version has been updated to v3.0, with a size of approximately 3.2 MB. Its core model connects users with urgent toilet needs with individuals or businesses nearby that offer idle toilets (O2O model). Users can choose different toilet types such as sit-down, squat, and chamber pot through the app and filter and sort them based on distance, price, and evaluations. It also provides route planning and user evaluation functions.
