Mobile Public Toilet Black Water Tank

Admin October 09, 2026

The black water tank of mobile public toilets is mainly used for collecting and treating excrement, with different application methods in various scenarios and multiple odor-proof designs.

In the context of RV toilets, the black water tank has diverse application forms. For cassette toilets, the toilet is fixedly installed, with a detachable black water tank connected below. Excrement first falls into the black water tank, and when it is full, the black water tank can be detached and carried to the restroom for emptying. For straight-discharge toilets, the black water tank is fixed under the vehicle, typically with a capacity ranging from 60 to 120 liters. Its sewage outlet is directly connected to the outside of the vehicle. When in use, a sewage pipe needs to be connected, and by opening the valve, the excrement can be directly discharged into the campsite sewage outlet. Portable toilets adopt a top-and-bottom split design. The upper part is a combination of a fresh water tank and a toilet, while the lower part is the black water tank. The entire toilet is portable and can be carried for emptying after use.

To prevent the black water tank from generating odors, there are various odor-proof designs. In terms of physical sealing, the bottom of cassette toilets is equipped with a sliding baffle that remains closed under normal circumstances, effectively locking the odor inside the black water tank. Regarding chemical degradation, adding a degradation solution to the black water tank can decompose excrement, inhibit bacterial growth, and neutralize odors. In terms of exhaust design, some systems are equipped with fans that create negative pressure inside the black water tank by drawing air, thereby removing the foul air. Additionally, there is a pressure relief device. Before emptying the black water tank, press the pressure relief valve to release the internal air pressure, preventing the excrement from being ejected due to air pressure when opening it.

In the scenario of mobile toilet rental services, most modern mobile toilet rental units adopt a design with self-contained fresh water tanks and black water tanks. This design reduces dependence on external pipe networks, enabling mobile toilets to adapt to a wider range of venues. Whether it is remote areas without complete sewage facilities or temporary event venues, mobile toilets can be conveniently used, improving their venue adaptability.
