Usage Guide for Mobile Plastic Toilets

Admin October 17, 2026

The use of mobile plastic toilets should follow norms for site selection and installation, daily maintenance, safety and hygiene management, and emergency response. The specific operations are as follows:

1. Site Selection and Installation Norms

  • Site Selection: They should be placed in flat areas with good drainage, avoiding construction hazard zones (such as foundation pits and tower crane operation areas). They should be at least 5 meters away from living areas to reduce odors and hygiene risks.
  • Foundation Inspection: Before installation, ensure the ground is stable to prevent the toilet from tilting or shifting. If the ground is uneven, adjust the bottom support feet or add anti-slip pads to ensure stability.
  • Drainage Connection: The external drainage pipe should be directly connected to the municipal drainage system or a dedicated septic tank to prevent sewage overflow. If the toilet is equipped with a fecal storage tank, it should be regularly cleaned and the waste properly disposed of.

2. Daily Use and Maintenance

  • Cleaning Frequency: Depending on the number of users, it is recommended to clean at least once a day, and increase to twice a day during peak periods (such as holidays and event periods). Cleaning includes emptying sewage, wiping the interior and exterior surfaces, and replacing consumables such as toilet paper and hand soap.
  • Equipment Inspection: Before each use, check if the door lock, flushing device, lighting, and ventilation equipment are functioning properly. If any damage is found (such as a malfunctioning flush button or a burnt-out light bulb), repair or replace the parts promptly.
  • Disinfection Management: The toilet should be equipped with disinfectant or spray. Regularly disinfect high-frequency contact areas such as the toilet seat and door handles to reduce the risk of bacterial transmission.

3. Safety and Hygiene Management

  • Electrical Safety: If the toilet is equipped with lighting, sockets, or exhaust fans, ensure the electrical wires are well-insulated and properly grounded. Do not illegally connect wires to avoid electric shocks or fires.
  • Signage Posting: Post warning signs such as 'No Smoking', 'Save Water', and 'Flush After Use' inside to guide users in proper behavior.
  • Ventilation Optimization: Maintain air circulation through exhaust fans or air vents to reduce odor accumulation. If natural ventilation is insufficient, extend the use time of exhaust fans.

4. Emergency Response Measures

  • Tool Preparation: Equip an emergency repair tool kit (such as wrenches, tape, spare light bulbs, etc.) to quickly handle simple faults.
  • Sewage Overflow Handling: If the fecal storage tank or drainage pipe is blocked, causing sewage overflow, immediately stop using it and contact the rental company or professionals for cleaning to avoid environmental pollution.
  • Extreme Weather Response: In case of heavy rain, strong winds, etc., check the toilet's fixation to prevent it from being blown over or shifted.

Tips for Using Humanized Facilities: Some mobile toilets may be equipped with flush tanks, sockets, or warm air devices. Use them according to the instructions. For example, regularly check the water level in the flush tank and do not use high-power electrical appliances in the sockets.
