How to Renovate the Toilet in a Mobile House
Renovating the toilet in a mobile house requires comprehensive consideration of space, functionality, and durability. The following steps can be followed for the renovation:

1. Preliminary Investigation and Requirement Confirmation Before renovation, it is necessary to comprehensively verify the structural parameters of the mobile house, including the thickness of the厢体 (side panel) wallboard, the distribution of load-bearing joists, and the flatness of the ground base. Clarify the requirements for the usage scenario (e.g., for construction sites, wear-resistant and easy-to-clean materials are needed; for scenic spots, both aesthetics and passenger flow capacity need to be considered). At the same time, identify the fault points of the original toilet, such as damaged waterproof layers, blocked and rusted pipelines, etc., and form a problem list.
2. Basic Waterproofing and Floor Treatment Remove the original damaged sanitary ware and aged flooring materials down to the base side panel layer. Seal the cracks in the side panels with single-component polyurethane sealant. Stick 15-centimeter-wide polyester cloth at the joints between the wallboard and the floor to enhance crack resistance. Apply a 2-millimeter-thick hand-laid polyurea waterproof coating overall. The waterproof layer on the shower area walls should extend upward by 1.8 meters, and for other areas, it should extend upward by 30 centimeters. After it is completely dry, conduct a 24-hour closed-water test. After confirming no leakage, lay vinyl flooring (waterproof, elastic, and stain-resistant, with hot-melt welded seams to form a seamless surface).
3. Space Layout Optimization Adopt a compact “dry-wet separation” design: Place the shower area in a corner and use an arc-shaped or fan-shaped partition to save space. Arrange the toilet and the sink linearly along the wall, and compress the width of the sink to 40 - 50 centimeters. If the position of the toilet needs to be moved, for same-floor drainage (sunken toilet), the pipeline can be directly adjusted; for inter-floor drainage, a toilet position shifter can be used (the shifting distance should be ≤ 2 meters, and a drainage slope needs to be made), or the floor drain can be changed to a wall drain (build a false wall combined with niche storage).
4. Structural Safety and Waterproofing Enhancement Use a reinforced frame structure for the walls and the floor, and use flexible sealing materials at the joints. Lay an integral waterproof tray on the floor. The height of the waterproof layer on the walls should reach 150 millimeters above the showerhead, and waterproof sleeves should be installed at the points where pipelines pass through the walls. Give priority to same-floor drainage design and embed the pipelines in the raised floor to reduce the risk of blockage.
5. Material and Equipment Selection For the walls, select lightweight composite materials such as fiberglass-reinforced plastic or aluminum alloy honeycomb panels (weighing one-fourth of traditional tiles, waterproof and moisture-proof). Use a film-laminating embossing technique for surface treatment to imitate stone textures. For the flushing system, adopt pneumatic-assisted or vacuum technology (with a single water consumption of ≤ 2 liters). A graywater recycling system filters the drainage from the sink and the shower for toilet flushing. When it is not possible to connect to the municipal sewage system, biological degradation treatment equipment or sealed storage devices can be selected.
6. Environment Maintenance and Storage Design Integrate forced ventilation (a top silent exhaust fan) and natural ventilation (adjustable air inlets at the lower part of the side walls) for ventilation. For heating, combine an instantaneous electric water heater with a small warm air device. Arrange the electrical circuits independently and equip them with leakage protection. For storage, extend the mirror cabinet above the sink to the ceiling, install shallow shelves on the wall behind the toilet, and set up triangular tiered shelves in the corner of the shower area to improve space utilization.
