Mobile House Container Material
The materials for mobile house containers mainly consist of steel structural frames paired with color-coated steel sheets or corrugated sheets. Some products use light steel structures or galvanized steel materials, with high-strength steel commonly used for the core frame to ensure structural stability.

The core frames of mainstream container houses mostly adopt all-steel structures. For example, the packing-box units and quick-assembly box series from Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd., as well as the standard container houses from CIMC Modular Building Systems, all use high-strength steel as the main frame material. This material offers wind resistance of grades 10-12 and earthquake resistance of grades 6-8. For instance, products from Suzhou Zhongnan can withstand typhoons of grade 12 and earthquakes of grade 8, with a frame deformation rate of less than 0.3%, meeting the requirements of building seismic design codes. Steel structures are connected through welding or rivets, forming stable modular units that can withstand loads under extreme working conditions while supporting rapid disassembly, assembly, and reuse.
Wall and roof materials mainly consist of color-coated steel sheets or corrugated sheets, with some products using composite sandwich panels. For example, the container houses from Xi'an Tengdaxing Housing Engineering Co., Ltd. use a "steel structure + corrugated sheet" combination, while the movable houses from Taiyuan Shengda Steel Structure use color-coated steel sheets as the enclosure structure. Color-coated steel sheets are composed of galvanized steel sheets combined with core materials such as polystyrene or rock wool, offering fire resistance, thermal insulation, and sound insulation functions, as well as being lightweight and easy to transport. High-end products may use materials such as insulated glass and precision hardware fittings to enhance sealing and aesthetics, such as the glass curtain wall designs of export-oriented container houses.
Some products optimize material selection for specific scenarios. For example, the light steel villas from Foshan Guose brand use light steel structures for rapid on-site assembly, while the movable houses from Shanxi Shengda Steel Structure use galvanized steel materials, emphasizing corrosion resistance and a service life of over 20 years. Additionally, folding container houses use high-strength alloy steel or special steel materials to ensure that the volume is compressed to 1/5 of the expanded state after folding while maintaining structural strength.
Material selection directly affects product performance and cost. Products from compliant manufacturers must pass fire resistance certification (B1 grade or above), wind and earthquake resistance tests, and meet environmental requirements (reusability rate ≥ 80%). Non-standard white-label products, to cut costs, often use thin steel sheets or flammable materials, resulting in wind resistance of less than grade 8 and fire resistance of only grade C, posing safety hazards.
