Mobile House Assembly and Prefabrication
Mobile house assembly and prefabrication is a construction method that involves disassembling a building into independent modules, prefabricating them in a factory, and then transporting them to the site for assembly.

Construction Mode
Mobile house assembly and prefabrication adopts a modular building concept, dividing the entire building into multiple independent modules. These modules cover key building components such as ceilings, floors, and water and electricity pipelines, all of which are prefabricated on factory assembly lines. Inside the factory, a parallel operation mode is employed, combining automated three-dimensional warehouses with intelligent production lines to achieve efficient production. After the modules are manufactured, they are transported to the construction site and precisely assembled in a manner similar to building with blocks, ultimately forming a complete building. For example, in a public housing project in Shenzhen, Guangdong, five residential buildings nearly 100 meters high were assembled from 6,028 concrete modules, with a 70-square-meter two-bedroom unit requiring only two and a half modules.
Advantages and Characteristics
Compared to traditional construction methods, prefabricated mobile houses offer significant advantages. The construction period is significantly shortened, with the project duration reduced by more than 60%. For instance, the completion and delivery time of the Shenzhen public housing project was compressed from 2.5-3 years to 1 year. Quality control is more precise, with factory-standardized production ensuring uniform module quality and reducing on-site construction errors. Environmental benefits are prominent, as factory operations reduce on-site noise, dust, and construction waste, alleviating traffic congestion issues. Maintenance convenience is enhanced, with modular design facilitating later inspection, repair, and component replacement. Resource utilization is efficient, with automated production reducing material waste and aligning with sustainable development requirements.
Typical Enterprises and Products
Several domestic enterprises specialize in the field of prefabricated mobile houses. Foshan Hege Steel Structure Integrated Housing Co., Ltd. was established in 2005 and engages in the development of steel structure materials, the production and installation of light steel movable houses, and panel production. Its products include light steel villas, prefabricated houses, and container movable houses. Weifang Fanglin Integrated Housing Co., Ltd. primarily offers packing boxes, movable panel houses, and integrated houses. Its prefabricated houses are mobile and flexible, supporting foreign trade exports and providing a variety of styles and specifications (such as packing box movable panel houses and quick-assembly box houses) while also supporting customization needs.
Construction Process
The construction of prefabricated residential buildings begins with the foundation: First, a chassis frame is built on the cement foundation, floor joists are laid, and prefabricated beam components are installed, with nodes fixed using metal connectors. Subsequently, prefabricated wall modules are erected and secured, completing the enclosure of the exterior wall frame. Next, internal fine division is carried out, with partition wall frames built and second-floor floor beams laid. Finally, the roof is constructed, with triangular trusses transported to the site and lifted by ground and roof workers to the top beams of the walls, completing the enclosure of the overall structure.
