How to Install Pipes for Mobile Finished Toilets

Admin October 11, 2026

The installation of pipes for mobile finished toilets can be carried out according to the following steps:

I. Preparation

  1. Materials and Tools: Prepare PVC drainage pipes of the corresponding diameter, pipe fittings (elbows, tees, straight connectors, etc.), PVC-specific adhesive, a measuring tape, a handsaw or pipe cutter, a pencil, sandpaper or a scraper.
  2. Planning and Design: Determine the drainage path based on the toilet layout, ensuring a pipe slope of 2% to 5% (i.e., a drop of 2-5 cm per meter), which is crucial for smooth drainage. Also, select a well-ventilated and easily accessible location for drainage, reserving enough space for installing the drain outlet.

II. Measurement and Cutting

  1. Use a measuring tape to accurately measure the required pipe length and mark the cutting position with a pencil.
  2. Cut along the marked line using a handsaw or pipe cutter, ensuring a flat cut to avoid burrs affecting the seal.
  3. Smooth the inner and outer burrs of the pipe end with sandpaper or a scraper to ensure a smooth connection surface.

III. Connecting Pipe Fittings

  1. Apply PVC-specific adhesive evenly on the outside of the pipe spigot and the inside of the fitting socket, covering the entire contact surface.
  2. Quickly insert the pipe into the fitting, rotate it about 90 degrees to distribute the adhesive evenly, and maintain pressure for 10-15 seconds until it is initially fixed.
  3. Ensure that the pipe fittings match the pipe diameter during connection to avoid leaks caused by mismatched sizes.

IV. Installing and Fixing the Main Pipe

  1. Locate the planned path on the floor or wall and drill holes to install pipe clamps or expansion bolts.
  2. Place the assembled main pipe into the pipe clamps, adjust the slope to meet the design requirements, and check again after fixing to ensure the slope is up to standard.
  3. The main pipe should be kept vertical or horizontal to avoid drainage issues caused by tilting.

V. Connecting Branch Pipes

  1. Use tees and other fittings to open holes in the main pipe and connect branch pipes according to the positions of the toilet, sink, and floor drain.
  2. Apply adhesive and tighten all connections to ensure a seal and prevent sewage leakage.
  3. The slope of the branch pipes should be consistent with that of the main pipe to prevent local ponding.

VI. Connecting Sanitary Fixtures

  1. Toilet: Connect to the drain outlet through a flange ring (wax seal or rubber), ensuring a tight fit between the flange ring and the pipe to prevent odor leakage.
  2. Sink and Floor Drain: Connect to the branch pipes using hoses or PVC pipes, adding rubber gaskets and pipe clamps at the connections, and tighten them before checking for leaks.

VII. Other Precautions

  1. Choose appropriate connectors when connecting the drain pipes, ensuring that the size and type match to avoid damage caused by forced installation.
  2. Apply adhesive evenly on the connectors and press firmly to ensure a tight fit without gaps.
  3. After installation, check all connection points and run a small amount of water to test for smooth drainage, promptly repairing any leaks.
