Introduction to the Functions of Mobile Environmental Toilets

Admin October 05, 2026

Mobile environmental toilets have multiple functions, including water conservation, sewage treatment, intelligent operation, internal configuration, and others, as detailed below:

I. Water Conservation Function
Mobile environmental toilets achieve water conservation through various technologies. The waterless flushing option does not require connection to water supply and drainage pipes, utilizing a rainwater collection and filtration system along with secondary toilet flushing technology using hand-washing water to reduce reliance on traditional water sources. Smart water-saving ecological environmental toilets automatically collect urine and hand-washing water, adding water-saving special agents to achieve a flushing effect of approximately 0.46 liters per person. Mobile environmental public toilets, by adding water-saving special agents, can control the single flush volume between 0.46 and 1.5 liters, significantly reducing water consumption.

II. Sewage Treatment Function
For different usage scenarios, mobile environmental toilets offer two main sewage treatment methods. Circular water-flushing public toilets are equipped with intermittent aerobic and anaerobic treatment devices, adding biological bacteria and utilizing biofilm technology to accelerate the decomposition of fecal sewage. The treated water can be recycled for flushing, achieving closed-loop water resource utilization. Dry-packing public toilets adopt a waterless flushing design, with excreta collected by biodegradable plastic bags. After use, the bags are automatically replaced and collected for centralized treatment, avoiding sewage generation.

III. Intelligent Operation Function
Some mobile environmental toilets integrate intelligent technologies to enhance user experience. For example, the epidemic prevention smart environmental public toilets used during the Winter Olympics support contactless operations such as waving to open the door, replace the toilet seat, and flush the toilet, reducing the risk of cross-infection. Smart mobile micro-toilets are equipped with environmental sensing systems, allowing one-touch operations for flushing, ventilation, and other functions. External breathing lights display the usage status in real-time, facilitating user identification.

IV. Internal Configuration Function
The internal design emphasizes hygiene and convenience. The independent urinal partition treatment system separates the urine channel from the fecal channel, with the former utilizing gravity flow and the latter cleaned by a piston-type scraper mechanical device. It is equipped with anti-slip floors, automatic flushing toilet bowls, and ventilation and lighting systems. Standard configurations include toilet bowls (urinals), coat hooks, vanity mirrors, waste bins, lighting, exhaust fans, door locks, and occupancy indicators; optional configurations include heating and cooling air conditioners, air purifiers, anti-freeze systems, heating systems, background music, hand-washing basins, water-saving faucets, etc., meeting diverse needs.

V. Other Functions
In terms of structure, the frame is welded from national standard steel, with surfaces covered with anti-corrosion and fire-resistant materials such as color-coated steel plates or carved panels, offering a service life of over 20 years. Exterior wall materials can be selected according to needs, including color-coated steel plates, metal carved panels, anti-corrosion wood, stainless steel plates, and aluminum-plastic panels, with the main structure meeting overall hoisting requirements. Additionally, mobile environmental toilets occupy a small area, have low land dependency, short construction periods, and are reusable, making them suitable for public places such as scenic spots, service areas, and rural areas.
