Mobile Environmental Toilet Encyclopedia

Admin October 16, 2026

A mobile environmental toilet is a movable and combinable public sanitation facility designed based on new materials and water-saving technologies, achieving water conservation and resource recycling through environmental protection technologies.

Definition and Core Features

Mobile environmental toilets break through the limitations of traditional fixed toilets, featuring mobility that allows flexible adjustment of their positions according to site requirements, reducing resource waste caused by demolition. They have a small footprint, occupying significantly less land resources than traditional toilets, and their exterior design balances practicality and aesthetics, commonly found in public places such as tourist attractions and parks. The construction process adopts a factory prefabrication model, enabling on-site installation and immediate use, greatly enhancing construction efficiency.

Technical Types and Water-Saving Mechanisms

  1. Waterless Flush Type: No need to connect to water supply and drainage pipes; it treats excreta through physical or chemical methods, suitable for water-scarce areas.
  2. Foam Sealing Type: Uses foaming agents to cover the surface of excreta, blocking odors and reducing flushing water volume.
  3. Water Flush Type: Requires connection to pipes but achieves water conservation through rainwater collection and filtration systems or secondary toilet flushing technology using hand-washing water.
  4. Recirculating Water Flush Type: Equipped with intermittent aerobic and anaerobic treatment devices, adding biological strains to accelerate decomposition. The treated water is recycled for flushing, forming a closed-loop system.
  5. Dry Packing Type: No water flushing device; excreta is collected by biodegradable plastic bags, which are automatically replaced and centrally treated after use, avoiding pollution.

Structure and Smart Configurations

Exterior wall materials can be selected from color steel plates, metal carved plates, etc., to meet different environmental needs. The main structure is welded with national standard light steel keels, supporting overall hoisting. Standard configurations include toilet bowls, lighting fixtures, exhaust fans, etc., with optional cold and warm air conditioners and air purifiers to enhance comfort. Some products integrate smart systems, such as PLC data acquisition, 40-inch LED stall monitors, and 4G remote monitoring modules, supporting mobile app control of lighting and flushing, achieving a water-saving effect (approximately 0.46 liters per person).

Application Scenarios and Development

They cover细分领域 (sub-sectors) such as temporary toilets on construction sites, scenic area and garden toilets, and vehicle-mounted toilets, extending to categories like antique-style and ship-mounted types, supporting the renovation of traditional public toilets. Their applications have expanded to public places such as scenic areas, service areas, and rural areas. Technological development has undergone two transformations: from the 1990s to the end of the 20th century, materials such as wood and fiberglass were used; after 2012, technical routes such as waterless flush and foam sealing types were formed. The industrial chain involves more than 20 enterprises in Liaoning, Shanghai, and other places, providing prefabricated and eco-friendly water-saving solutions.
