Mobile Ecological Public Toilet
A mobile ecological public toilet is a portable public restroom facility that adapts to various scenarios and features ecological and environmentally friendly characteristics.

I. Basic Definition and Characteristics Mobile ecological public toilets can be moved as a whole and can be set up in different locations according to fixed or temporary needs to provide restroom services to the public. Their core advantages lie in portability, modularity, and ease of transportation, allowing them to flexibly adapt to changes in the site and reduce resource waste caused by the demolition of fixed facilities. Compared to traditional fixed toilets, they occupy a smaller area, significantly reducing the use of land resources. Moreover, their design balances practicality and aesthetics, making them common in public places such as tourist attractions and parks.
II. Material and Structural Design
- Frame and Shell: The main frame is mostly welded from national standard steel to ensure structural stability. The shell is covered with anti-corrosion and fire-resistant materials such as color-coated steel sheets or carved panels. Some models use thermal-insulating and fire-resistant metal carved panels for the exterior walls, with the surface being specially coated color relief decorative metal sheets. The side doors are fitted with corrosion-resistant titanium-magnesium alloy doors, with a service life of over 20 years.
- Internal Configuration: Equipped with an independent toilet pit zoning treatment system, the urine channel utilizes gravity flow, while the feces channel is cleaned by a piston-type scraper mechanical device. The floor is made of anti-slip tiles or features anti-slip design. The toilet bowls are automatic flushing type and are equipped with ventilation and lighting systems, exhaust fans, tissue boxes, hooks, and other facilities. Some models of restrooms also have a complete set of bathroom cabinets installed, with bamboo-wood fiber boards used for the interior walls to enhance comfort.
III. Ecological and Environmentally Friendly Technologies
- Water-Saving Technology: By automatically collecting hand-washing water and adding a special agent, it achieves a flushing effect with only 0.46 liters of water per person, significantly reducing water consumption.
- Diversified Treatment Methods: Depending on the usage environment constraints, various treatment technologies such as waterless flushing, foam sealing, and water flushing can be adopted, reducing reliance on municipal sewer networks.
IV. Application Scenarios and Cases Their applications have covered public places such as scenic spots, service areas, and rural areas. For example, in 2023, mobile toilets were put into use in the Lanzhou Yellow River Scenic Area. During the May Day holiday in 2026, the Jinci Scenic Spot in Shanxi increased its average daily reception capacity from about 3,000 person-times to around 5,000 person-times by deploying buses as mobile men's restrooms and temporarily converting fixed men's restrooms into women's restrooms. The industrial chain involves more than 20 production enterprises in Liaoning, Shanghai, Hebei, and other places, providing diversified solutions such as prefabricated and ecological water-saving types.
