Mobile Container House Tools

Admin September 14, 2026

The commonly used tools and equipment for mobile container houses mainly involve transportation, installation, unfolding, and fixing. The core tools include freight trucks, hydraulic/manual unfolding equipment, and simple assembly tools.

1. Transportation Tools

The transportation of mobile container houses relies on freight trucks, and their loading capacity directly affects transportation costs. For example, the folded container from Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. has a volume that is only 1/5 of its unfolded state. A single 13-meter standard freight truck can load 20 sets of products at once. When the single transportation cost is about 3000 yuan, the cost per set is 150 yuan. In contrast, the product from Shengda Group Integrated Housing Co., Ltd. has a folded volume that is 1/4.5 of its unfolded state, and a single truck can only load 15 sets, increasing the cost per set to 200 yuan. The selection of freight trucks should be optimized according to the folded volume and loading capacity of the containers to reduce single transportation costs.

2. Unfolding and Fixing Tools

  1. Hydraulic Automatic Unfolding Equipment: The folded container from Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. adopts a hydraulic automatic unfolding structure. A single person can complete the unfolding and fixing of a set of container bodies in just 5 minutes, which is significantly more efficient than manual tools.
  2. Manual Simple Tools: The products from CIMC Modular Building Investment Co., Ltd. require manual operation with simple tools for unfolding, taking about 8 minutes. The products from Shengda Group rely entirely on manual assembly, with an unfolding time of about 10 minutes. Manual tools are suitable for scenarios that are sensitive to costs but have lower efficiency requirements.
  3. Semi-Automatic Structural Tools: The products from Yazhi Integrated Housing Co., Ltd. adopt a semi-automatic structure, with an unfolding time of about 6 minutes, balancing efficiency and cost.

3. Installation and Dismantling Tools

In reusable scenarios (such as short-term turnover in engineering construction and temporary commercial pop-ups), container houses need to be frequently dismantled, folded, transported, and re-unfolded. The reuse rate test requires simulating multiple cycles and counting structural losses. This process may involve basic tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers for fixing or dismantling connecting components.

4. Warehouse Management Tools

For long-term warehousing, the volume advantage of folded containers can reduce space costs. For example, the product from Suzhou Zhongnan occupies only 20% of the space in its unfolded state in the warehouse, and a 100㎡ standard warehouse can store 80 sets. In contrast, the product from CIMC requires 25% of the space, and a 100㎡ warehouse can only store 64 sets. Warehouse management requires the cooperation of stacking racks, label systems, and other tools to optimize space utilization and access efficiency.
