Lighting Design for Mobile Container Houses

Admin September 15, 2026

The lighting design of mobile container houses can be achieved through various methods, including reserving window positions, adopting large-area skylights, using high-transmittance panels, and incorporating elements such as glass curtain walls to meet lighting needs in different scenarios.

Reserve Window Positions and Optimize Design

During the design phase of container houses, window positions can be reserved, and the size and quantity of windows can be determined based on actual needs. For example, when customizing a mobile container house, double-glazed windows can be installed on the sides or ends of the house, paired with sunshades. This design not only ensures ample lighting but also allows for the regulation of indoor light intensity through the sunshades, preventing excessive indoor temperatures caused by direct sunlight.

Adopt Large-Area Skylights

For container houses requiring higher lighting efficiency, a large-area skylight design can be adopted. For instance, in creative container event houses, an upgrade to a sunroom with a large-area skylight paired with sunshades allows for complete natural lighting during the day, offering significant energy savings. This design is particularly suitable for scenarios requiring abundant natural light, such as studios, teahouses, or short-term rental accommodations.

Use High-Transmittance Panels

In the design of mobile container sunrooms, panels tend to use high-transmittance materials, such as German Bayer PC panels. These panels have a transmittance of up to 82%, nearly indistinguishable from glass, maintaining spatial transparency. Additionally, PC panels weigh only half as much as glass, making them easier to move, and their impact resistance is 2-20 times that of tempered glass. Even if a 3KG hammer is dropped from two meters, no cracks will occur, eliminating concerns about breakage from falling objects.

Incorporate Elements Such as Glass Curtain Walls

For high-end temporary office or brand display scenarios, container houses can also incorporate elements such as glass curtain walls to enhance lighting effects and visual aesthetics. For example, customized creative office containers with glass curtain wall designs not only increase lighting area but also give the house a more modern and stylish appearance.
