Mobile Compressed Toilet
A mobile compressed toilet is an environmentally friendly toilet facility that achieves efficient treatment and storage of waste through special design and possesses mobility. The following is an introduction from three aspects: composition, treatment methods, and advantages.

I. Basic Composition
The core structure of a mobile compressed toilet includes a fecal sewage storage tank (or disposal device), floor slab, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tank, roof, and mobile device, etc. Among them, the storage tank or disposal device is the key module for waste treatment, responsible for containing or initially treating excreta; the mobile device (such as a wheeled chassis or detachable bracket) endows it with the ability for flexible deployment, allowing it to be quickly transferred to different scenarios according to needs, such as temporary event venues, disaster areas, or remote areas.
II. Waste Treatment Methods
- Vacuum collection type: This is the technology most directly related to the concept of 'compression'. It generates suction through negative pressure pipelines to quickly draw waste into a sealed tank. During this process, only 0.5 liters of water is required (a traditional toilet uses about 5-10 liters per flush), resulting in a water-saving rate of over 90%. The negative pressure action compresses the volume of the waste, significantly improving storage efficiency, and the sealed design prevents odor leakage.
- Dry packing type: This method uses biodegradable film bags to directly wrap excreta without water flushing. The wrapped waste is then collected and treated. Although it does not involve dynamic compression, it indirectly reduces the volume of the waste by reducing its moisture content, making it suitable for water-scarce areas or areas without sewage pipelines.
- Recirculating water flush type: This method purifies sewage through biological degradation or chemical treatment to achieve water resource recycling. Although it does not directly compress the waste, it optimizes overall space utilization.
III. Core Advantages
- Environmentally friendly and water-saving: The vacuum collection type uses extremely low amounts of water per flush, and the dry packing type requires no water at all, significantly reducing water consumption.
- Space-efficient: After the waste is compressed or dehydrated, the utilization rate of the storage tank's capacity increases, extending the cleaning cycle and reducing operation and maintenance costs.
- Flexible deployment: The modular design supports rapid assembly and disassembly, allowing it to be used independently or combined into large toilet clusters to meet different scale requirements.
- Strong adaptability: Treatment technologies can be selected according to environmental conditions (such as anti-freezing designs for cold regions and dry packing for areas without sewage pipelines), and its floor area is only 1/3 to 1/2 of that of traditional toilets.
Through technological innovation, mobile compressed toilets balance sanitation needs with resource constraints, becoming important infrastructure in modern urban management, emergency rescue, and eco-tourism fields.
